maybe assign a button for switching weapons because some people dont have scroll wheels, may think of more, im extremely interested in this mod, i wish i knew programming so i can help

Harro! Me and a friend were ALSO making a mech mod. I'm doing okay, and I'm at the point of making the mech controllable when you ride it. Good luck to you! P.S. Nah, not dead. Just slow. Been really busy lately.
But here's what we got going on currently:
-We have a working Gauss gun (hand operated)
-I just got some sounds cranked out
-been working on a Raven:
So in summary, there has been progress made.
I have no background mech knowledge. That comes from my friend. I'm the coding brains of my Mech mod, he's the art and etc. guy ! Ah, I'm getting along pretty well, but I'm pretty cramped with my school schedule. Sigh. Ah well, I plan to get a controllable mech by the end of the month. No weapons, just walking. No, I have no idea when the release date will be. I'll probably release an alpha (1 mech) so you guys can have some fun with it, but I have no idea when this will be.

I don't have a MODEL yet. I'm just using a human model for now. Once I get it controllable, I'll add a specific model.
That's the idea. :cool.gif: I'm thinking about creating a concept video which illustrates what I want the idea to become sometime soon.
Nice. I'll "like" it on youtube for you. A great idea my friend came up with would be to also have spider mechs (10 blocks wide) that have two weapons on the abdomen, and a mouth-mounted weapon. Oh, almost forgot. It could climb walls. (Friggin' SCARY!)

And I've never been much of a fan of the quad 'mechs, but maybe we could work it in later.

You can see how I would get this confused with "Spider"; both reference disgusting little creatures. :wink.gif:
As far as I know, there are no canon units that have more than 4 legs (with those being extremely rare). That doesn't mean we can't add them, though. :smile.gif:
As far as coding goes, I think it would be beneficial if we had someone new to handle simple stuff, such as crafting recipes, while someone who is more experienced handles stuff like models and weapons. If you could show me a sample mod (doesn't need to be complex) you have done so I could check it out, I'll consider adding you to the team. :cool.gif:
