Looks like r42 for 1.8 is finally out everyone! Check the main page for the download. Any bugs/crash reports should be posted to the GitHub page >Here< as well as here on the forums.

Just call me "Stryker", no need to be formal.
Normal sig clutter below:
Well, r42 is finally out, along with support for 1.8. To be honest, there's not really much motivation left on my part and the porting problems after each big Minecraft update aren't exactly helping either. And it looks like the official mod API is buried somewhere deeply in Mojang's to-do list, so I think we can forget that, too. If it wasn't for TheGreyGhost's work on the 1.8 port, I probably would have given up at this point. It's not because the mod code itself is hard to maintain, it's because of this unstable and mostly undocumented mod API situation, which just isn't fun to work with. Since 1.9 is almost out at this point, I'll skip any efforts to add any new features to the mod and just try to fix major bugs.

at least once all the mods are updated (if they ever are) to 1.8 ill still have this awesome mod to play with XD
I'm having issues where young dragons enjoy phasing through walls. Instead of climbing up slopes, they just go straight through the wall, and I have to dig them out.

Hey I tryed right clicking the egg. It just disappeared. I tryed doing /dragon stage hatchling end in the spot the egg, and I heard the dragon, but I did not see it. Does anyone know whats going on?
Hey i have a good idea , why you doesn't put attacks to dragons? For example the nether dragon throw fire and the ender dragon like a bomb or something like that.
Its such a unique idea that it has been suggested on almost every page and sometimes twice a page... Sorry for the sarcasm but it gets a bit boring when people will not even check before making a 'new' suggestion.
It Wont Work I Have Dragon Mounts r41 And When I Right Click It Just Teleports Like Normal And Then I Try Older Versions It Still Doesn't Work And Spawning Them From A Spawn Egg Doesn't Work Too The Noise Comes But There Invisible So Please Can Somebody Link Me To A 1.7.10 Version That Works Please
I.... I am sorry, my eyes are bleeding.... not the bad grammar, I have come to accept that from people online.
Quoting the entire first post for no relative reason, oh, you wanted to make sure people want to know what mod you are posting about? You are already in the thread x_x do not spam!
Also, this confusion people get baffles me.... the mod is not functioning for you! So it must be the mod, right? No.... The newest version 'works' fine, it starts and it is usable. Yes it has glitches but the mod works. Always do a breakdown before blaming anyone else but yourself... look at the logs, are you running more than one mod? Have you tested Dragon Mounts alone to see if it will load fine independently? If it does... conflict, break it down and rule out the problem. If not, check your forge versions. This mod will probably have some trouble with newer editions of 1.7.10 forge as it has changed some things... mostly in the way it handles liquids but it has had some issues in the past with other mods.
There's a few basic troubleshoots to try before blaming anyone else. I run this mod with 70+ other mods and not an issue but I always usually only use stable mods, they tend to play very nicely together and you also receive a better play experience. With a world literally ruled by computers you would think people would have started to learn basic troubleshooting by now...
Are dragons supposed to be able to pass through blocks? Mine is. Making it really hard to keep him put until I get a raw fish
When dragons are growing and untamed they can clip through the world and even become quite wedged in blocks. The large hit box makes it impossible to free them without killing them. It is a glitch but can be managed with a leash and a post. Keep them away from blocks and give them room to grow and it should be hassle free!

They also seem to teleport if you don't sit them down sometimes still, so i advise a bone at all times I got 5 eggs from a dungeon and hadd hatchlings following me everywhere be quite annoying
I see, makes sense. Another question: when told to sit, do they stay there indefinitely? I noticed when I logged back in it teleported to me, even though I had it sitting.

Ah, now see, this is actually a vanilla bug from memory. The teleport used in the mod is the same wolves and such use... except it has a delay which can even stop it from working altogether in some situations. On this note though, they can even teleport to you when seated much like the wolf bug. I have noticed it less in 1.7.10 in comparison to 1.7.2 due to Mojang looking into the issue but it was never fully resolved. I have always used caution though and leave my dragons leashed in their lair or stable when not in use... Nothing worse than trying to get them out of a mine-shaft from a random teleport!
The lead was such a great item to be added and so many mods can benefit from it, like this one for example. The dev being busy or done with this mod means these small glitches can be overcome with just a little effort in game. Keeps it going just a little bit longer.
The problem, i found it!
Orespawn was causing the error all the time, it made all of the dragons disappear, when i uninstalled it, everything was solved

Uhmm here sorry i don't really know how to read the crash-reports since i'm just new with mods and things. I hope that i put the right report here...
Looks like r42 for 1.8 is finally out everyone! Check the main page for the download. Any bugs/crash reports should be posted to the GitHub page >Here< as well as here on the forums.

Can't walk backwards while riding a dragon on the ground. "S" just makes it walk forward.
Hey I tryed right clicking the egg. It just disappeared. I tryed doing /dragon stage hatchling end in the spot the egg, and I heard the dragon, but I did not see it. Does anyone know whats going on?
I'm glad it updated and i understand the frustration that can come with this, just the fact that he got it to 1.8 is awesome, props Barracuda.
We got strange bug:
Dragon was hatched but yet he neither move nor can be tamed atl all .-.
Any fix for this?
Issues with current 1.7.10 Ver:
Dragons randomly teleport to me (I have 5 and Only really use one)
They walk through things (one walked into a mountain and never came out)
They don't hatch without command(After they are still not tamed usually and do not seem to grow or are doing so slowly)
Hi Guys, Today I'm Just going to show you my new made texture for a dragon
I call it : Night Wing
So I just changed the glow of the ender dragon and here it it the night wing, I am still updating it to make it really purple with black.
Any Suggestions for the next texture.
Its such a unique idea that it has been suggested on almost every page and sometimes twice a page... Sorry for the sarcasm but it gets a bit boring when people will not even check before making a 'new' suggestion.
