I have the impression that Animal Bikes is more a fun-oriented mod. I mean, riding snowmen or even Notch's head? Well, okay...
This mod, on the other side, tries to fit into the vanilla game by introducing a purpose for a currently useless item and refines the ender dragon for riding. I don't really think there will be much confusion about these two mods.
BarracudaATA said he won't do that, because it's complicated, a few pages back.Hey, after you make the fireballs( if you're doing that anyways ), maybe there could be ice balls too, and when it hits the mob, it will encase them in ice, and they'll die or something.

Well yes, I'm working on a fire breath right now, I think that's more interesting than just re-using the fireballs. This is the preliminary result:
Looks even better in motion! And yes, it looks similar to the fire in Minecraft Dragons Mod, but I did it from scratch and implemented it as a real particle system, which has a lot of advantages. It can easily render up to 2000 particles at the same time instead of just a few dozens without heavy performance impact and can be redirected by blocks into different directions, so it feels more like a "flow" of fire.
Not sure about doing an ice breath, though... the fire already took several hours to do :wink.gif:
Did I? Actually, it's pretty simple to let them lay/drop eggs, but... randomly for no reason? Like chicken? Umm... no :biggrin.gif:

I think by eggs, he meant that they could hatch and stuff, like it drops an enderdragon egg, and then that hatches or something. That's what i understood from that.
That looks so amazing :biggrin.gif:. Can't wait for that.
How would we command the dragon to breathe fire though ?
For the ice breath, wouldn't it be easy to take the fire breath code and make some changes ? I'm not really sure how it would work though , so correct me if i'm wrong.

Sure, but I think the eggs are supposed to be a heavily limited resource.

I don't have good particles for an ice breath (the current snow particles are way too small) and the code is currently designed for fire, so... not right now. :wink.gif:
Suggestion
A config option that allows you to destroy everything in your path like the normal dragon does... defaults to off for safety of course but can be changed for that extra spark of destruction fun
:smile.gif:
Could u make it so the dragon can walk along the floor aswell :smile.gif:? that would be awesome.
Dragons actually have no walking animation so this needs to be done from scratch. And Most mobs fit into a one Block Area so walking (and jumping) is not so difficult. With a Mob occupying 6 ore more Blocks at once you can't easily implement walking since the Blocks can be of different height.

Slimeballs are used to make sticky piston, so i would not recommend to retexture those. Textures of items also need alternative Texture Packs

Thanks! Not sure, maybe feed it with something and it will spit for 5 seconds or something like that. As said before, I want to avoid key bindings.

Why not add Chili?
You can let the player right click when holding a certain item in hand making the Dragon spit Fire
Just Click on the "ModLoader" Link in the First Post and it will instantly start the Download.
Now the actual implementation for the mod is a bit tricky, but I'll find a way. Hopefully :smile.gif:

What about let the Dragon randomly teleport like enderman? except it does not leaves a 50 Block range or so from the Place it landed.
Additionally it could teleport to the Player (if enough room) when holding a certain item.
Last thing. If it can burn testificates and Villages to ground, will you make it immune to fire?
Wait there is something more: how about showing the health of the dragon when right clicked with a certain item?
This deserves :Diamond:X10!!!
They already are immune to fire.
I say; What is science, but magic that has been explained?
