Ah I love this mod so much! it's so cool. Yet I know a few bugs.
In Multiplayer (could be singleplayer too, haven't quite tested) whenever I press Spacebar, my dragon goes up but without flying. It looks so weird and I cannot control it besides go up and down. Also when I point directly up or down while riding, it stops its flying animation and falls. There's no fall damage but this can be pretty annoying to get back up. The dragons seem to fly even slower now too, but that might just be me.
Nametags seem to disappear after a logout.
It's hard to fly the dragons with how they follow where you look and it's especially difficult to get a great view on the world when exploring.
The mod doesn't seem compatible with other mods, like Metamorph. If you kill a full grown dragon, you can morph into it but still can't fly. This does not work with MorePlayerModels either.

Okay, I'm having a strange issue...... I had a dragon named Craven who is super fast before and after the update.... i updated from 1.8 to 1.10.2 and when I did craven was still there and still very fast but when ever i hatched a new dragon and did /dragon stage hatchling Craven would turn into a hatchling and the egg would stay well an egg and if i went up to craven and did /dragon adult the egg would turn into an adult and Craven would stay as a hatchling (btw craven is a ghost dragon) and after i got them both to adult once more i would tame the other and every single time i tried they would be ridiculously slow to where walking was faster there animation was smooth so i know its not lag and my dragon Craven was still extremely fast but every new dragon i hatched would be very slow and there's no spawn egg that automatically makes them adult so... idk and i was wondering what i can do on my end to fix this its very annoying and if Craven died i would have no dragons worth riding i love this mod and im confused ik its still in beta but this is kinda strange =I
So it's not a huge problem, but for some reason right clicking on a tamed dragon with a bone does nothing. They are always sitting unless I ride them. Anyone else have this problem and/or know how to fix this? I'm on 1.7.10 btw. thanks!
good job on the mod i absolutely love it but the wild dragons cannot be contained because they just slip through the walls they're almost like ghosts they just slip in and out of the walls and its very annoying because i have to put them on ropes all the time and put em on a fence post to contain them can you please fix this?
(this is on the 1.10.2 version but i have also had this problem on 1.7.10 version)
Im sorry to break it to you, but this mod dev hasn't been active for weeks. Even if he did come on, there's almost no chance that your suggestions would be added, since someone with such long inactivity periods is, with fair assumption, someone growing away from Minecraft.

I have an idea about dragon, if you had picked some to apply to the mod in the future, it would be very happy.
- the name of the dragon is "Light dragon", which is good dragon.
- Eyes are blue
- Crown on its head
- Body color is basically yellow
- With E(inventory), can customize its body color, including transparent(becoming invisible).
- 2 ways to attack;
1. Blows Lightning bolt breathe (When press T key),
2. Wields Claw (When press C key)

I'm just messing around in creative with the dragons and i made a cave for them but it seems that the dragons are walking right through the walls! Its only the hatched dragons that do this, I spawned a dragon with a spawn egg and put a lead on it and tried to pull it through the fence and he didn't go through, but the others did. Spawn egg dragons will not do this but hatched dragons will. Is there a fix to this, or is it purely a bug? I also tried to renter the world, and restart minecraft to see if it was a one time issue but it wasn't. It seems as if the dragons themselves are bugged.
EDIT: For anyone else having this issue, the best fix i have found for this is to spawn a mother dragon (via spawn egg) and the hatchling, if closeby, will follow her like any other baby mob in Minecraft, therefore not slipping through the walls on their own and staying by the adult.

Yeah, I just had this issue in my game, too. I figure there must be something in the code that allows young dragons to still phase through walls like the Ender Dragon boss until they reach the adult phase. I think the best thing you can do if you don't have a mother is strap them to a fence post with a lead until they're adults so they don't go wandering away into the nearby blocks.

If anyone wants to fix it up, be my guest. However, once you get a functional build working, pull towards my fork, and I will inform the dev (I have figured out his email, he left it in the codebase, please do not spam it), and see if a 1.12.2 build can be released. Maybe see if I can get it on curse too.

Also, there is a lot of forks of the repo (plus Sunconure11's fork), so there is a chance someone actually ported this for 1.12.x.
I suggest next time someone came here with a bug/suggestion to point them this link instead of just saying "he's inactive! give up!" what is completely wrong.

I am unable to figure out how to fix the egg textures (the eggs that the dragons hatch into). Needless to say, they are handled rather oddly.
However, it seems everything else works fine. Though there does appear to be some derpiness which could be ironed out.
Either way, I've contacted the dev, as mentioned before. I'm waiting on a response from him.
Legally speaking, I could distribute releases on curse, due to the license that's placed on it (unlicense), but there are some things I would need some aid with even doing if I wanted to put it up on Curse.
1. As mentioned before, the egg models are completely broken, and have no texture. Once they hatch, they are fine.
2. Player does not align fully when they ride a dragon. They kind of hover when the dragon is in certain positions. They also do not sit on the saddle, which is all the way towards the front of the dragon.

I love this mod, however, I was sad when r44 came out because it got rid of dragons following in close range.
I have managed to create a semi-functional 1.12.2 port. However, someone else is probably going to have to finish the registry shenanigans for me.
