Unsure whats wrong, but i placed an egg in my test world to see if it was working, but i right click it and it just ports. that or it vanishes. i see the port particles but i cant place another block down where it was. Anyone have a fix?
OHH Hey I didn't think of that, I will have to test that out. As far as access to eggs... Only the moderator and myself will have access to them. I will test this out when I finish all of the mod configurations I am going to change for my server. Thanks!!
Okay, after another long period of silence, I've released a whole pack of new versions. This time for Minecraft 1.8.9, 1.9 and 1.9.4. I've also added a bunch of new features, improved the existing ones and (hopefully) resolved some of the known mod incompatibility issue. Use the new version in multiplayer with care, though. I haven't done all the tests for MP yet.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE, YOU SHOULD BE SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS, "THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATES!", AND THROWING CAKE! NOW LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!
(hmmm, maybe this needs some more fireworks...)
Why do I get the feeling that the next time you'll hear from anyone it will be just to complain about some bug...? After all that bellyaching the ungrateful little snots see a fresh update, download it, go play without so much as a thank you for all the hard work... I'm not pointing the finger at any one person, but there are lots of players who do it and it always boils my blood.
Edit: If it was my mod I'd be watching the comments for reactions after all the begging for updates, so imagine how a modder feels seeing nothing.
Mhh, you could add dragon eggs to the end city ship's loottable. Maybe dragon eggs could occasionaly replace the elytra in the item frame on the ships. The absence of an elytra wouldn't hurt, since you get 'another flight item'.
Better then finding them in dungeon loot.
In the config you can turn on finding them in dungeon chests. The option is already there. Just open the config file and set it to true.
Edit: Reread and found that I'd misread it. Why would you want to find an egg in place of an elytra when you can now fly with your dragon? In 1.9.4 your dragon will follow you in flight. Haven't tested it yet but it's supposed to.

What if dragons occasionally spawned and started attacking players and if you lowered their health enough they would become docile enough that you could tame them and breed them.

I'm curious to see the new flight AI. Any plans for independent flight for untamed dragons? It seems if you managed to implement the path finding AI for flying, it might be possible to use the same approach to put flying in the normal "wander" AI.
Also, it'd be cool to see natural spawning in this mod.
I like this mod alot, in fact, it's one of if not my all time favorites. But could you please add a section for relevant information? It would be nice to have it all up front instead of sifting through update logs.

Personally I would love to have wild dragons in overworld. Perhaps just passively cruising along at high in the sky until some jerk decides to stick an arrow in their butt. Kill one and you can get an egg of the type you killed.
You know where the mods folder is right? Back up into the .minecraft folder that it is in and you will see the config folder. That is where all of the config files are held. Open them with text or word pad or whatever you like. It's a simple text document. The first time I tried to open one I thought I had to download something special until I tried opening it with work pad and that's now what I use to open those files.
Ok. Follow up question. Where is the option the spawn eggs in chests? unless it's in here somewhere.

I think it would be cool if someone did an add-on(s) mod for this one, which introduces Dragon breeds based on other mods, mainly the magic mods. Honestly I don't think the mod creators should have to do this, but I'm putting this in the Ether for anyone interested in an idea (the source code is open sourced if I remember correctly). Also I'm not sure, but I think I made a post like this already...
Thaumcraft:
Flux dragon, can't be tamed unless warped, regenerates on taint and starts the spread.
Arcane Dragon: From a Vis infused Egg, draws energy from Nodes to regenerate
Holy Dragon: An Egg put in a cleansing bath, does extra damage to the undead and can clear away taint somehow.
Blood Magic
Blood Dragon: An egg put on an altar until a certain amount of Life Points were soaked up. Extra Defense, Strength and regeneration but if your altar/soul nexus runs out, it will drain your own heath
Intangible:
Dragon Souls: taken from Dragon Eggs, but yeah Dragon Based Spells. Also since the Ghost Dragon is undead and in the mod those have no souls to steal, you could take a ghost dragon egg and infuse it with other types of souls to make a special kind of dragon.
Noble Dragon: Using the soul of an Avatar (basically a God) to create a divine Dragon.
Doom Dragon: Using the soul of a Wither
Twilight Forest:
Instead of adding a different dragon, how about Dragons spawn naturally in the Twilight Forest after all, it's a giant forest filled with magic, basically a more magical version of the overworld. Ghost Dragons in the Mazes, Forest Dragons all over the place, Ice Dragons in the Ice Realm, Aether Dragons in the realm of the Giants, Fire Dragons in the Hydra Area(s).
Even without the Twilight Forest, it would be cool to see dragons either in the overworld, or a separate but similar dimension with Wild Dragons to fight and get eggs from, if people don't want to, or have bad luck with dungeon loot, and don't want to have to fight the Enderdragon.

Yeah that was kind of my idea. Maybe it would be fun to have the dragons spawn aggressive though, but that might be annoying if you're just starting out and get unlucky enough to have a dragon spawn in front of you and start attacking you.

edit:
console got flooded with this when trying to make one:
[Server thread/TRACE] [info.ata4.minecraft.dragon.server.entity.helper.DragonBreedHelper/]: setBreed(ice)
(wouldnt let me edit my last message)
wow disregard... conflicts with OreSpawn.. damnit i dont wanna choose between the two

Where do I fond the DragonMounts.cfg file?

So I still don't know how to make dragon eggs spawn in chests upon world generation. Help?
