Great mod but i am having a problem where when i save and quit my game and go back on to that world my dragons have turned back into eggs and i have to hatch and raise them again. This is getting rather annoying for me so please help. Reply to this comment if you are having this same problem.

thanks! i found r43 and now that problem is gone but i have also found that i am unable to hatch any dragon other than ghost, water, ender and aether. i have tried following the directions from countless videos and instruction pages but i still can't spawn the others. the egg will either be an ender or a water dragon (unless above the clouds or in the dark below ground). please help!
EDIT- i am only able to spawn the nether dragon while in the nether, not in the overworld using nether related blocks. (i have spawned a nether dragon egg in the nether and then pushed it through the portal, that worked well)
um hi, I'm not sure if you are still doing anything with this mod @BarracudaATA but I have a strange error going on for my minecraft 1.5.2 version

I'm not totally sure why it does this but no matter where I am in the game world I get this crash report. The only time it changed slightly was it called the ender dragon I spawned a tameable entity in the End realm when I tried spawning it there.
I released the long overdue r43, which should fix some major issues introduced by the previous release. I also added a few more translations from helpful supporters.
r43:
Fixed wrong server proxy class path, which caused a crash on dedicated servers.
Fixed dragon age not loaded correctly from NBT.
Fixed issues with Polish and Korean translations.
Added French translation (thanks to Kenairod!)
Added Chinese translation (thanks to zqh!)
Dragons no longer try to catch their owner while on a leash. (thanks to TerrorBite!)
Slightly reduced dragon collision box size.
Oooo, these all sound like great fixes! (And I admit I'm especially glad for the collision box fix, though the "slightly" worries me slightly.)
...Now I just need to actually play 1.8...

I'm not even going to try to help because 1.5.2 is so ridiculously outdated it isn't even funny.
Update Minecraft. Seriously. Where did you even get a 1.5.2 version of the mod? Even in the old versions list I only see 1.5.1, no 1.5.2.
Bad idea. There are so many sites just stealing mods (I was surprised where I found mine in the end... x.x) and some of them like packing malware and other stuff into those files.
And seriously, don't expect support for completely outdated versions.
On topic: so happy to see this being updated again!
they could have been less dismissive at least, that's the only reason I got miffed.

It's very rare that mods even get support for one or two versions ago, and never versions that old.
Don't expect support or any helpful attitiude from people if you're using an outdated version of the mod that doesn't even exist on the offical site. Dismissive is about all you'll get, if you're lucky. If not, then no response.
Besides, I told you what will likely fix your problem: Update Minecraft and the mod version. If you refuse to do that, either don't complain when you get bugs, or uninstall the mod and live without it.

Simply put, being rude about things will get neither you nor the person you're talking to anywhere. Even if what the other person is doing seems an egregious error, they may not understand what they're doing wrong, or why it's the wrong thing to do. And if you can help them with it without making them feel like an idiot, you'll not only make their day, but gain a lot of respect from them and others. It's really a win-win.
Also, I can say that there's a very good reason to play outdated versions of Minecraft: mods. A lot of amazing mods never made it past 1.5.2, for one reason or another. The two biggest examples in my personal gameplay have been Asgard Shield (by Jade Knightblazer) and Legend Gear (by NMcCoy). Two spectacular mods that just never got updated, which you'd have to play 1.5.2 to experience. I go back to playing Hexxit every so often just because of how well those two mods mesh with it.

I was kind of stressed out at the time I posted that so I did probably go overboard yes... I know that's not an excuse, nor do I intend it to be. But still, expecting help with far outdated mod versions is usually... frowned upon... at best. And yes, I know, many good mods never updated. I've had my fair share of heartbreak over that.
Also, unrelated, but I've noticed the Asgard Shield mod seems to have a notification in the forum title saying it's getting a 1.8 update, and, while I haven't tested to see if it's the same as good ol' LegendGear, NMcCoy did release LegendGear 2 some time ago.
Asgard Shield was supposed to see an update, but Jade dropped off the face of the earth again before he ever made progress. He'd lost all of the original files, so he had to start from scratch. I think that just killed any motivation he had left to continue modding.
It is a really good mod, but there is a little problem with mariculture........
Mariculte (as you might know...) changes fish. (Leading to untameable dragons...)
Please fix this little bug.
That's not a bug, and there would be no way to fix it without Barracuda somehow knowing what Mariculture changes the fish to. Barracuda's Dragons are set to be tamed with the item "minecraft:fish", and Mariculture probably changes it to something like "mariculture:itemfish", meaning they're literally two different items. The only way to solve this problem would be for one of the two mod authors to add a compatibility patch for the other by letting them see their code. Since Dragon Mounts is already open sourced, that would be on Mariculture's end to deal with.

Please fix this little bug.
You could just use "/dragon tame" instead.
Or maybe, if you can find out the literal name for the fish with that mod and post it, someone might be able to modify r43 to use that fish name instead of the default minecraft name. Which I know how to do.
The dragons wont spawn with a spawner, command, or the actual egg. The egg acts like normal minecraft by teleporting but disappears and you cant place any blocks where you right clicked. Please help. Here is what happens when I try to use the command and spawner:
Update: It seems as if the mobs are actually there but they are invisible, you can't ride them, and they still make the sounds.

What do you mean with "Fixed dragon age not loaded correctly from NBT."? What is Dragon Age?
How old a dragon is. It's used to determine how long the dragon has until it's an adult. Previously, causing the chunk the dragon was in to unload would make the dragon reset to an egg.
Oh, great to see you're still around! Hope things are going well for you.
Is the r43 update only going to be avaialble in 1.8?
Awesome mod! I can finally summon Saphira!

Great mod but i am having a problem where when i save and quit my game and go back on to that world my dragons have turned back into eggs and i have to hatch and raise them again. This is getting rather annoying for me so please help. Reply to this comment if you are having this same problem.
Thanks!
R43 fixes that

My financial situation could be better, but it's okay.
No. r41 for 1.7 doesn't have most of the bugs introduced in r42 and a backport wouldn't be easy anyway.
So awesome!
Cool
um hi, I'm not sure if you are still doing anything with this mod @BarracudaATA but I have a strange error going on for my minecraft 1.5.2 version

I'm not totally sure why it does this but no matter where I am in the game world I get this crash report. The only time it changed slightly was it called the ender dragon I spawned a tameable entity in the End realm when I tried spawning it there.
Since you replied so snarkily I am only responding in the same. I. Googled. Dragon. Mounts. mod. for. 1.5.2 and. found. it. that. way.
I have updated my Minecraft I had 1.4.1 before now and it went to 1.5.2 when I updated.
they could have been less dismissive at least, that's the only reason I got miffed.
