i think you guys should make the dragons a bit smaller
Not that it matters much in a game, but realistically, if they were any smaller they wouldn't be able to carry us so easily. Think about it, most creatures that fly (birds) need hollow bones to stay up there, whilst planes and the sort need special equipment and speed to stay airborne. And the dragons of this mod are as big as the hostile Ender Dragon itself. Though, if you're looking for smaller dragons to fly on, I saw a mod just like that about three weeks ago. Dragon Tamer or something like that (but I gotta argue that this mod is cooler, heh).
This Mod should keep up and be updated with the old commands which were easier ( /dragon hatch ) and more dragons ... i suggest you should remove the carrot on stick its already hard to get a dragon egg if you play survival .. you can't bother to make a carrot stick and search for saddle.
This mod will be one of the best mods and will make people play minecraft mod after they get the dragon egg from the ender dragon
Keep an working hard on this mod ! Make more dragons
Barracuda you or someone you know should make a dragon mount plugin with all the dragons for bukkit then people who play multiplayer most of the time can get it on there server and then have this amazing mod but as a plugin!
just thought i would let you know this and i think it is a good idea...anyway thank you and bye
This can and never will be a Bukkit plugin because of the way Bukkit works. This mod requires and uses Forge hooks to function, adds new skins, and the inclusion of any new items specific to this mod wouldn't be possible since the Bukkit API doesn't have any support for new items or skins. Bukkit plugins can only edit things from the server side, and this mod requires client-side edits. It'd require a total re-write of the code to use an entirely different set of Bukkit-specific hooks, you'd only have the ender dragon skin to work with, unless he also used the Spout API, which is not supported at all by Bukkit.
If you want a mod like this on a Bukkit server, your best bet is to change it into an MCPC server, which takes the Bukkit code and hooks Forge up to it, so you can use the best of both worlds. Bukkit for management and class plugins like WorldEdit, WorldGuard and McMMO and Forge mods for adding content to your game like HarvestCraft, Dragon Mounts, Thaumcraft and Ars Magica.
has anyone else come across this strange bug (and severe) with 0.99.2? seems whenever someone trys to spawn a dragon on my rented server, it ends up sending the client corrupt data...
using the spawn egg to force-spawn does nothing either, not even print an exception...
from what I can tell its something that was broken in java7u15, havnt found specifically what though so for now Ill just have to give the server a custom version with spawning disabled...

can someone help when i try to enter my own server i get this strange message which says : forge modloader has found id mismatches complete details are in the log folder ID 122 mismatched between world and game and id 122 is the dragon egg. I used to have a dragon on this server but i removed the mod from the server because grieferswould enter the castle and destroy it from inside.
I'm REALLY disappointed that you changed steering to the carrot on a stick. I thought it was fine the way it was before. This change has been extremely disheartening.
If you have removed your mod from your server but you still have it in your personal mods, then you have to remove dragon mounts from your personal mods.
This happens because there is a mismatch between dragon egg functions/properties, thing that is not tolerated on a server.
The same error will happen to you for all servers that doesn't have dragon mounts if you have dragon mounts in your mods.
I just had an idea... What if the ctrl key was used to decend, instead of the sneak key. That would solve the problem of the rebinding keys thing that everyone keeps asking about.
This may sounds like a strange or funny suggestion, but What I hate the most is if I'm listening to music on a juke box and I want to explore and I cant listen to it on the go. along with the Dragon armor and Backpack ideas. Maybe he can carry a stereo? XD just a thought
Im playing on the Old 1.5 verson with the Aether 2. the aether dragon looks sweet XD glitching though, but I don't expect these two mods to work together too well anyhow. Im just glad I can have my aether dragon int he real aether!!
Sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find the answer. My 9 year old son is dying to have the mod on the Kindle Fire Hd Minecraft Pocket Edition. does anyone know if the mod works there and if there are any special programs I need to use to install it? Thank you in advance for your precise instructions and help. He will be thrilled!

This mod does not work with the Pocket Edition. You need Minecraft for PC to run most mods out there, as well as this one. Now that I think about it, I have never heard of any mods specifically developed for the Pocket Edition. If he had the PC version, then it would be easier to install the Forge Installer, as Forge is becoming the base platform for many mods to be built upon.
In my opinion, the PC version tops all of them. Easier to carry a Kindle around than a laptop, but well worth the fun regardless, heh.
He just doesn't have time anymore.
When I private messaged him for ice dragon skin, he told me he couldn't answer me fastly as he has over 8 hours of work a day.
I guess his work takes too much time for him to spend his free time on forum or on the mod...
