Excuse me, you mention me complaining at you as a bad thing, i am mistaken by believing that making comments on the wait is extremely similar to, if not actually complaining in itself? The entire reason this started is because you thought it was be fun to make a narky comment on the wait for the mod, if you seriously have issues with waiting just leave this forum for a while, come back in a year or so and it is likely that the mod will be out, i cannot speak for the team however as i do not know about a release date, similar to everyone else. But i do know this, the best way to not get bored of something is to leave it alone, if you just feel drained by the wait, just bookmark this thread and forget about it, when you eventually do remember it, and you come back to this thread, you never know, you might be surprised.
Seriously though, i do find it funny how you moan at ME for complaining.
Complaining is the act of vocalising ones grievences with a subject in a productive manner by offering up a suggestion or two and asking questions upon the reasoning why the subject is as is. What your doing is muttling down the word complaining to whining. Now everyone is going to think that what i have said is simple whiney behaviour of some random person when i've been putting forth a suggestion and some questions as to why this mod hasn't seen the light of release. Now I am looking here for a discussion as to why the mod hasn't seen release yet and why it is still where it is in its development path. I am not someone who will simply let things die because that seems to be the majority of people these days. People are too complacent with the way things are, no one asks questions no one seeks understanding everyone is just like meh and moves on. Id also like to say that i got the meaning of the word complaining wrong in my previous post and ment to put in whining as i too forget the meaning of complaning.

You say that you wont stand for it but all you do is make silly comments "it will prolly be 5 years" and "we have now reached the point where...", this is not standing up asking questions and seeking understanding, this is being an ignorant annoying childish brat which simply needs to learn that we are not "like meh" we are infact respecting the decisions and the wishes of those who actually work to bring forth this mod, all you do is be an annoyance who simply whines (yes right this time) about things you don't like, dont act like a higher power, complacence is good in some situations, learn how to use it some more, if not, help them with the mod of shut up.
And i acknowledge those previous posts as they were posted in a half/joke half/truth manner. You know when you say something jokingly but think its also kinda true? You're ignoring one of my posts here aswell to get your point across.
I mean, i had this on my bookmarks page in 2011. In fact, i forgot about this, then i find in my "news" that people posted. And i was surprised that not even the alpha came - because last time i checked i'm pretty sure there was one.
But i'm fine with the wait, I've gotten over the mod and its not a main "event" for me anymore. I got over watching the actual doctor who and i'm playing games that actually released (just beat x com 2 :D)
So good luck getting a release, but really - guys, i wouldn't expect it to come for maybe a year or two. Just gotta wait
This part is a personal thought : there is a chance that the mod doesn't ever come out, i mean - there are tons of big mod projects that get so far, but then fall before release. But lets hope it comes.

Normally I will try to introduce or show a feature, update, interesting bit of news about anything we do as quickly as possible. Short threads and short videos will let me show more content without needing to record audio for each and everyone.
In this NewsFLASH a we demo the brand new Fully In-Game Cutscene System!
Well it has been ages hasn't it! Despite that I am not going to write much about this because it is fairly self explanatory if you watch the video. The video which demonstrates the brand new way cutscenes are being handled in Doctor Who Client Mod. Many of you will notice that it plays completely 100% inside of the game window.....and that's because it does. This new system totally DESTROYS all of our previous cutscene systems and I love it so much.
Right. So before you get started with the video, just a few things. Yes, iKingsSGC has a new look. Yes, the in game audio is a bit weird (you can thank Camtasia and the fact that fraps doesn't record win 10 desktop yet.) Yes, I edited out about 3.5/4ths of the cutscene.....because....well we can't let you see the full thing before you play the game. I should also point out that the version of the opening cutscene in this video is the old outdated version. I have since refined the opening intro sequence.

Whats going on people of the iKingsSGC?! Welcome back to TheiKings "Daily" Report. I am your host the long lost formerly thought to be dead TheiKing and today I am going to be laying out the updated stages of release for 2016.
Yeah I know I haven't made an audio video in what seems like a year. Blame it on my job, college and no time home alone in the very little spare time that I have. Lets get on with it!
Pre-Alpha Development - Completed
Only Mod Division staff had access to the game. This was not anywhere ready to need external testers. We tested as we made .
Closed Alpha Development & Testing- Current Stage
First Closed Alpha Group: A small closed 5-10 Slot alpha that will be composed of people we know personall y and trust
not to leak the project.
Second Closed Alpha Test: This will be a larger alpha group somewhere around 10-15 slots.
The goal of Closed Alpha testing is to finish up critical features and thoroughly debug issues. In the end we hope that Closed Alpha is helping us polish the game so players can play without too many issues that are game breaking in severity. Because we intend to give all channels, big and small, an equal oppurtunity of showing Doctor Who Client Mod all Closed Alpha members are restricted from recording and publishing videos of DWCM on social media.
Open Alpha (First Major Public Release) - Upcoming
Closed Alpha will have helped solve many problems regarding the functions of the mod and even some user experience issues. That being said in order for us to fully examine the project for flaws we need a larger audience to discover lingering issues and suggest ways we can improve our gameplay experience. That is where the very first public release of Doctor Who Client Mod comes in, the Open Alpha. It is important to note that while this will be the very first version of Doctor Who Client Mod the public will be able to play you will need to keep in mind that we will have had to remove several secondary and miscellaneous features such as un-finished mobs, crafting recipes, and easter eggs. Basically anything that remains unfinished or largely unstable (such as work in progress planets) at the time of open alpha release will remain in a separate version intended for our Closed Alpha groups to continue testing as we develop. We made this decision to allow us to focus on primary systems such as the TARDIS, story features, and anything of critical need so that they are stable and ready for public use. It is important to remember that even though this is being released several years after the start of the project, this version is essentially a demo version without all features incorporated into the mod.
Closed Alpha/Beta Testing - Upcoming
Much like the Closed Alpha testing period this development stage will be closed off to the public and will be comprised of trusted individuals; many of whom will have already participated in the Closed Alpha phase. The difference between the Closed Beta and Closed Alpha stages is that the Closed Beta will be active WHILE Open Alpha and eventually the Open Beta is progressing. As the group finds bugs and gameplay issues will will fix, adjust and release patches to the current public release. This also applies to any new features we develop & add to the game. All previously left out content such as incomplete mobs and planets will be tested during these periods and developed to completion before being released to the public version (whether that be Open Beta or Alpha.)
Open Beta (Second Major Public Release) - Upcoming
This will be a massive upgrade in comparison to the release of the Open Alpha. Our expectations hopes are that nearly every primary, secondary and miscellaneous feature will be in a near complete state and ready for public consumption. At this time do not have any clear plans as to when this version will be released.
Official Release V1 - Upcoming
No plans currently exist for this stage of release beyond it being the most complete version of the game and as bug free as we can make it. It is our hopes that this version will have a flawless user experience based on years of development and the dedicated work of our team & everyone in the community who has contributed ideas & tested the game.

What's going on all you I a new intro catchphrasers! This TheiKings "Daily" Report and I am Obviously TheiKing. Today I am going to be Announcing the Doctor Who Client Mod comic book series!
Doctor Who Client Mod .....the.... comic book? Yes, you did hear that right. DWCM is coming to you in an all new form....in those beautiful halftone dot's that make up comic book pages. Raise your hand if you know what a halftone is!
I cannot go into much detail about the DWCM comic series right now as it is still very early in production but I can tell you a few things about who is working on it. There is myself, TheiKing you all know who I am so lets discuss the other guy.....Sir Sasquatch of The iKingsSGC Forums Sasquatches....Sasquatchi?! I will be doing the story, scripts and panel layout & coloring while Sire Squatch will be doing the heavy lifting of illustration on the project.
We are still in the early early EARLLLY concept development right now. Trying to nail down the aesthetic style we are going to go with. You can see some of these concept sketches over at the iKingsSGC Forums Thread for this video. You can get to that by clicking that annotation at the top of the video or the link in the description box. The character style we decided on is AMAZING! boxy characters done right!
The story will be comprised of many different elements of DWCM. Not only will it explore the stories that you can play in game in the future but it will also go in-depth and provide backstories & go where we cannot go in the mod. We will also explore past (and future) Doctor stories so there will be no Blocky Doctor left behind.
I am very excited to finally be announcing the comic. It has been something squatch and I have been discussing for around a year. The major hangup was production costs and without having those nailed down I was very cautious about putting the time and effort into producing the full color comic series. But as luck would have it I work at a print shop where I can not only get a discount off the final cost of producing the comic books, but also take a hands on approach while the books are in production and ensure that every last book that comes off the press meets quality control expectations.
These books will be available to anyone who pledges on our revamped Patreon campaign at a specific tier. We are also toying around with the idea of launching a kickstarter for the DWCM Comic series (suggest titles please?) to cover the majority of production costs and ensure we have enough books for anyone who wants the first issue!

There's much that hasn't been added yet, and loads of potential bugs that can come up as things get added.
The policy so far, I believe, has mostly been not to have a release date for this reason.

True True, Best not too get too many hopes up. It's hard to determine these things with such big projects that have so many complicated variables.
I just ask that the team keeps up the good work, and keeps us posted with new additions so we have something to look forward to ^.^
