Mine updated fine but I backed up everything just in case. Save a copy of your Kingdom files and your world first than if it doesn't work you still have it.
Its hit or miss it seems. Ive upgraded through 1.0.3 to 1.0.5 to pre-release and never lost progress. But others have. The only thing I can recommend is to back up your save file as well as your KingdomModSave.dat file and try the update. If it works awesome, if not then downgrade back to 1.0.3.
Thanks! But where can I find the 'kingdommodsave.dat' file?
When The "Start conquest" appeared, a "Saving chunks" error came too! :C
Post an error log if possible. It could be not installed right, or its a RAM issue. If you have a lot of stuff running in the background try exiting out of that. I've gotten something similar when I have Google Chrome running since it eats up memory.

appdata/roaming/.minecraft folder. If you use windows.
Edit : LOL double post ehh guess ill remove that very soon, BUT not today... i'm too lazy =P (BTW i like word smileys not the yellow round guys if u get what i mean.)

Not sure what you are asking. The pre-release has everything 1.0.5 has but with NPC actions, quests, new mobs, and bugs. Pre-release is more for testing then anything, so be-warned.
when i use this mod everything works fine except when i click on the guy to sell stuff my minecraft freezes and crashes?
the only other mods i am using are
ModLoader
OptiFine
Timber!
This is a known issue, and sadly no known workarounds exist. It has nothing to do with other mods, however it might have something to do with RAM allocation or system specs. Again the cause of this issue is unknown due to the fact that it does not show anything on error logs so its hard to pin point.
I havn't seen this mentioned but I just noticed that I have not found one Notch village since I started a Kingdom world. I know I didn't disable it and I find plenty of abandoned mines. Are Notch villages disabled with this mod?
No they are not. I got some Notch villages on my map
Not sure if the 2nd one still works. Its the one I used but seems he discontinued it for whatever reason. The issue with those is that they only come in survival so you need to get NBTedit to change to creative or use MCedit.
He couldn't make edits to the poll or the first post. Instead of asking the admins to help out he decided to just make a new thread.
Small "bug". To echo what a poster has said earlier in the thread, I've experienced similar situations with the woodcutter. He can stand in front of a tree and every 1/5 times he won't start chopping. Also, he has a tendancy to be blocked by a single leaf block and not move around it. Other then that pathfinding the NPCs have is amazing, ten times better then my damn wolf, who seems to fit to cannonball off of every cliff he finds :tongue.gif:
Just a quick questions, is the version with the NPC workers also the version with the Reticule mobs appearing and the quests? Not sure if I updated correctly is all.

To my understanding the NPCs use the default pathfinding which is why its somewhat bad. The leaf blocking is annoying(even though a path is cut out initially).
Yes the NPC workers and the Reticules are in the same patch. It took me awhile to find them since they only spawn a certain distance from the guild house. As for the quests there is 1 in the guild courtyard however if you already have a kingdom it really doesn't do anything. Really all you do is when you find a "hole" it will have villagers which you need to escort back to the guild. Doing so will increase your rep gain towards getting a kingdom.
is there any way you can leave your workers to just do there job instead of having to stand there and whach them
With the woodcutters its manual so yes you need to be present and click each time. Best bet is to get a couple villagers at a time since its dependent on the # of NPCS and not the tree itself. With the miner solong as you are within range he should continue to throw cobble at you.

Neat a new thread. These quotes are from the previous thread.
I'm totally doing that when the next update comes around.
I don't think its really a issue. Since most of the time I have enough money to buy most stuff that iron is needed for. Doing diamonds would be a little OP.
Also I kind of don't like the mining system.
For one you can only have 1 person mining at a time, if you try to right click another one the first one stops and it digs another quarry.
The range that they "throw" cobble at you is kind of weird. I was out of my mine and above ground and he was still tossing cobble at me.
One suggestion I have is make a Tier 1 upgrade for Quarry/Mineshaft where you can send NPCs to mine. I would think having them mine into a chest is possible but not sure.
This is a great idea. Make a quarry building in the tier 1. You could change it for one of the small houses, since... villagers aren't all that useful. You only need 2 for resources, and there will still be another small house and big house.
And, as for the chance to get iron and diamond, I think cobblestone is enough. If you have mods like EE you'll see it's enough. Unless the chance is super super low... like 0,0000001% else it'll be OP.
Also if there could be a building.. like "The Academy" where your soldiers train. And level up. I'm having quite a hard time level up my army since most of the Mo' Creatures are stronger than my soldiers. (I have seen so many of my soldiers die to a wolf...)
Thanks! But where can I find the 'kingdommodsave.dat' file?

Sweet! Thanks for your help!
Can i play the Pre Release or is it just 1.0_5?

Tyber could not edit polls or change the title. A GM recommended to start a new thread.

I am running those (and more) and it works fine. Not sure what the problem could be :tongue.gif:
