would really love to play this, but everytime i try minecradft just crashes
followed the install instructions (and checked youtube to make sure) but still nothing.
runs fine without the .zip file in the mods folder, but crashes as soon as i try to login with it there.
i'd post the crash report, but it disapears too quick !
any help would be appreciated
(no other mods. running 1.2.5 & modloader 1.2.5 only)
when i instaled it i took everything out of the zip file and put it in a new folder. This worked fine, so i'd try that.
DID YOU NOT READ THE THREAD?! HE ISN'T GOING TO ANY MORE!!!
True, he's not going to update the mod. Go to the page before this one (page 351), Tyber posted a reply. He said he's sort of revamping the mod and said that Tale of Kingdoms wasn't dead. Everybody calm down.
same has happened to me think we gunna have to start the game again for **** sake!!!!!!!!!!
Just log out and log back in. I killed the builder myself when I was first getting used to the mod and exploring/experimenting. I logged out, logged back in and he was back at the guild. You may have to lead him back to your spot you chose to build at. IDK. Hope this helps.

What is the blinking Excharge for? How do you use it?
Well, I experimented w/ that and found out what it does. It's basically your "mana" bar when you use Excalibur.
Excalibur is kinda like your own magic weapon, and it's AWESOME!. Here's how to use Excalibur (based on what I've experimented w/ so far)
Press the Y key to open up the Excalibur page. Now I'm not sure if you have to have a certain amount of coins or something to get Excalibur. When I got Excalibur it didn't cost me any coins, but I didn't try to get it when I first started out. Experiment with this. Anyway, click the spawn staff button (or sword, staff just worked for me).. you'll have either a cool looking sword or staff, which doesn't wear out. You'll start to see the excharge stop blinking and start to fill up....only now it is blue, that means it is charging.
Once the bar is full, open up the page again and choose which form and which aura you want to use.....there is drive, launch, bolt, and surround for forms, then there is healing, haste, berserk, and barrier. I'll explain further down what each of these does based on what I've experienced.
Forms are basically actions that you make by holding down the right mouse button (like drawing back a bow), the longer you hold down the right mouse button the more powerful that action will be up to a cap (I think). All these forms when used (except launch as far as I know) destroys the targeted area. So don't use this around the guild, your kingdom, your house etc..
Drive: An explosion that travels through the ground to targeted area. Great for killing mobs in a line
Launch: I glitched every time I used this and it never really worked, but I think it basically teleports you a little ways away in the direction of your aim. I haven't tried it on mobs yet. So I'm not totally sure what this does.
Surround: This was awesome. Totally engulfs the target with an explosion. Nothing is left...nothing, no coins or drops.
Bolt: This I found was the most powerful form and had the most range. This makes huge explosions and destroys terrain wherever you fire it. Great idea for the reficul's outposts.
Aura's are basically passive buffs.
Healing: Self explanatory, this buff heals you one heart at a time constantly while excharge is active.
Haste: HUGE speed buff, this is great for running away from mobs or around the map. Plus add sprint when this is on..you could practically take off.
Berserk: I didn't experiment with this, but I think it's just the normal berserk buff and just boosts your basic attack damage.
Barrier: This is basically a shield that I used a little bit. I think it damages nearby enemies, and partially protects you from damage as well as projectiles. I'm not totally sure though, experiment with this.
Choose your aura first, then double click which form you want and excharge will be activated. You'll see you're sword or staff change form into an even cooler form of a staff or sword (depending on which form you chose to use) and you'll see your excharge bar turn pink and start to deplete. This is basically how much time you have to use your form's ability and the passive buff you chose. Once the bar depletes completely it will automatically recharge. You cannot speed up the recharge or slow down the depletion so far as I know.
Hey, you're welcome bro! It definitely helps against the reficuls. I found that drive and surround were the most effective forms to use against them. Launch was just worthless, and bolt didn't seem to do enough damage, seeing as the reficuls are immune to fire and you really have to be at range to get the damage out of bolt. Also, the sword or staff when in normal form doesn't do the same amount of damage as a normal sword. So treat it like a cool looking "wooden sword" when in normal form.
Wow, yeah totally agree. Excalibur could have been a mod all by itself. Yeah, I also notice the damage isn't that high and when it changes forms it doesn't do any damage as a melee weapon.
To bad this mod isn't getting up dated any more. I wouldn't have minded a change where you had to go on a quest for the sword and had to use special enchants to give it powers. However, the way it works now is fine also.
Yeah that's what I meant to say...in normal form it does no damage as a melee weapon. Lol.
The damage isn't as high as say a diamond sword, but the weapon is still fun to use. I noticed with drive that it slightly knocks back your enemies.
Anywho, I agree w/ you man, it would be awesome for there to be a quest for this. It's cool though b/c I like to think of your character as "the chosen one" and your sword as kind of like "the king's sword", like Aragorn's Andu'ril.
But like I said in an earlier post, TyberAlyx said that Tale of Kingdom's wasn't dead. He said it's still the same old ToK, but that he's kinda revamping it.
I just wanna say thank you for this awesome mod and tell you that you might wanna do something about the world generator, because every time I make a new save the Guild is always on top of a hill and there's no easy path or way down. I don't know if it's just me but if that is the case, that's just weird.
