Publicity at this stage is only good for attracting talented people who can help in development. The Yogscast will not help in that regard.
I would rather not get their attention until we are good and ready to have it.

As for progress, it's actually going pretty good. There is still that one spot on concurrent worlds which needs to be done, but it will definitely happen. The last two weeks, though, I've been studying OpenGL and GPUs and I can probably crank Minecraft's draw distance past the 1km mark with the new render system I am working on, so that's something to look forward to.
So yeah, sorry about all the waiting. I'm sure it's quite frustrating from your end, but the mod is getting worked on every day, and it's just a matter of time before it's ready.

That would be because Fraps, in it's free trial version shuts off after 30 seconds of recording. So buy Fraps.
On the topic of tanks, why do you need them? I mean, your tank vs my supercarrier. I guess they can come later, but first I just want our basic ships to come out.

We will need all sorts of vehicles. Your supercarrier would be worse than useless against my bunker complex, so you will need to deploy ground forces. The infantry you deploy will be defeated by the machine gun nests and barbed wire outside my perimeter, so you will need to use tanks to break through the defenses. The tanks will take heavy losses from my air support, so you will need to deploy fighter escorts for your forces. Etc, etc.

you know this is starting to sound a little like R.U.S.E. but with a first person perspective, making it even more interesting. lots more can be deceptive and just not noticed. but you are right, conquering requires some flushing out, and can't do much of that to a near indestructible bunker from the air. plain infantry will be mowed down, and tanks have issues too. but if you're dropping tanks in you have an air defence already in place.
Infantry will still be required, tanks can't manage lots of things in cities of defensive structures.
Yeah. I'm hoping we get hunter/killer droids for use in urban environments. Yuuzhan Vong Hunters would be good models.

In this situation, I would personally just fly drop one of my orbital bombardment satellites from the cargo hold of one of my ships and start firing ionized particle beams into your bunker.

also would it be illegal to have a fast hyperdrive so that people use your ship for money and then you kill the wealthy ones in deep space?
Concerning Bunkers and orbital bombardment etc. Remember folks; If Cubic Chunks is used like planned then people will be able to have emergency bunkers and underground facilities up to 30 Km or more deep, and that's just with the current version. Of course; if we are dealing with Size-controlled bounded worlds then it might not be that deep.
Main point is; Deep-underground/underocean facilities and combat methods for dealing with them will quickly become issues that people will be dealing with. I know I certainly wouldn't leave all my important stuff on or even near the surface where someone can just blast it from orbit... Go deep enough and nukes won't even flush them out, all you'll do is mutate the Morlocks a little more.

Heh heh, no. It'll take a lot more than a few nukes to penetrate 30km, and even then it would only work in minecraft, not so much in RL.
And the odds of someone using enough expensive nukes to wipe you out at 30k deep when they don't know the coordinates has been calculated at 0.0%. Whereas carpet-bombing the surface of the last place you were seen near the surface has a very high probability and also likelihood of success.
btw: it wouldn't be smart to have surface exits directly above where that deep bunker existed.

At the moment, there isn't really a mod to test.
