If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 99% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 1% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens.
Just wondering.

I'm not sure if this had been said before (I don't want to read 54 pages...) What about people
that spawn items and go into creative mode? for example I could make a creative mode world, build a giant ship, then go to a server and destroy their civilization.I'm sorry if this has been said before.(+ I could get TMI[or any other inv-editor]go onto my server where I am admin
and build a giant ship, then repeat process said before, destroy everything.)

I think you will have to do it legit, but there will be machines that will help collect the resources needed.
Well I don't know about you guys but it's snowing a lot where I'm at!

Intra-server travel both excites and worries me. On the one hand, it means a brave new world of different server cultures (there are very different kinds of server, and with enough people on them all building, they get their own feel, so eventually you get almost real life-esque cultures growing naturally on some...) interconnecting and trading.
However.. the existence of creative mode being toggle-able by admins on servers is worrying. Imagine if you will a stable trading system between servers, where objects are valued based on their market value. Then, suddenly a creative player, let's call him Midas, pops along and makes infinite amounts of many kinds of items. Suddenly the economy will collapse.
I find this terrifying and somewhat exhillarating to imagine happening. However, I can't think of a way to counteract this infiniminer (heh.) from crippling any growing economies in a multi-server system to give this story a happy ending.
Otherwise, I love this idea, and the idea of travelling in ships through stargates to other servers is quite exciting. I can imagine that a nice way to go about it would be an intermediary world (this'd probably be your space idea, when looking back on your original post when I remembered you did mention that), with only portals (on planetoids?) in it, which can only be travelled into whilst inside your ships, the rest being air and void, and you must fly to the chosen portal once it's on the network (I'm guessing it'd be an opt-in thing, that way you don't get bands of roving server pirates attacking worlds which the admin doesn't want any alien invaders coming down to it).
My gut instinct tells me this is unfeasible and I shouldn't get my hopes up at the sheer radicalness that this would bring, but I'm looking forward to seeing this become a reality.
*cue a lame Back to the Future (craft) joke I would have made here but I couldn't think of the wording, and sorry for the tl;dr ness of most of the above that more or less comes down to "I like this idea, although creative mode players worry me"*
I've said it before, but creative players will be relegated to their own private ghetto where they can't bother survival players. Additionally you would have to play survival to get the best experience. To balance it out, one idea we had was that creative players could post schematics of their ships on some sort of marketplace accessible to survival and reconstruct their ships over there. We'll see what comes of it.
^ He has a point, really he does. I think this has been discussed before, hoever, I saw some posts about it a while back. I am not bothered reading all the way back though so here is my input. Each galaxy has a/multiple "superadmin(s)" that can ban anyone who uses creative or TMI within their own server, stopping them from leaving their own planet. This would work to stop one griefer, but not the entire servers population, so why not give this/these "superadmin(s)" the power to remove whole servers from the galaxy list? On the other hand you could completely disable the item spawn and creative mode commands in the serverside version of this mod, which could easily fix almost all of the problems, as well as being able to have a blacklist perhaps? This would allow the admins or something to put any particular block into the blacklist, preventing anyone from either picking it up after breaking it or crafting it.

Doc, did you clone me? Dammit we talked about this.
Doc, what have you done? Just look at this guy. What if he gets out and someone thinks he's me? This is...why? Just why?
Can he even code?
I think it is fine the clone seems mentally deficient.
