As fun as that mod is it is very buggy. torches do not give off light and you can fall though your ship if you turn too much. Lots of blocks don't work such as the fences and steps.
Anyways, this sounds awesome and I hope you can release it asap.
I was wondering if there would be a ship called a Planet-Craker Vessel. Which basically lifts up large pieces of land then disintegrates it or destroys it
spidey senses tingling.... am i sensing a dead space (ishimura) reference?
Hi everyone, I like your ideas and I'm learning some java sometimes, so probably I could help you with coding.
P.S.I didn't created any big mods yet, but I wish to help you with your mod, because it's awesome!
I kinda want the ability to colonize a planet, say you can take a giant chunk of land from a planet, and move it to another, setting up a small ecosystem that gradually expands

a lot of that has been fixed iam useing it right now it works a lot better than it use to be
You should consider changing the destination of your sig. It dropped me on some old thread w/ nothing but go to this thread.
On topic: this. idea. ROCKS. That is all.
That's not really all :tongue.gif: this is an idea of truly epic potential.
1- Will the space map be procedurally generated?
2- Also is the ship/port system planned to work with ssp?
3- What kind of hanger doors are planned? Im personally in favor of the scifi sheild doors(stop weapons and atmosphere but pass ships and people freely)
4- Will there be special blocks for building with?(blast plating and the like)
5- And is there going to be the obligatory star(wars/gate/trek/craft/whatever) reference?
And finally I was trying not to do this but:
"Sir scanners show signs of life and a breathable atmosphere"
"Humanoid?"
"...It appears so captain..."
"Good. I. Shall go. Shag. For the good. Of the. Federation."
XD
To answer your questions (I've numbered them for you):
1- What do you mean?
2- Yes, just because this mod is designed for AMP doesn't mean that it won't have great ASP potential as well.
3- You could use shields, but doors made of blocks, attached to some hinge or retractor block, will also be utilised.
4- Yes, we are adding many new blocks, some specifically for making decent hulls for ships, or for building areas that require special needs.
5- Reference? Read the OP, I think you should realise from that where I took most of my references from.
Ohh I was under the impression that it hadn’t been started on lol didnt see the video
*FACE PALM!!!!!!!*
From hence forth I shall make a notice upon the OP, reading: "Attention to all the “would be” posters: read what is written here. All of it. If you need to ask a question about the mod, and it is answered in the OP, then I am going to ignore you, and I ask that those with the decency to actually read the OP do the same."
We need a block that allows for a controlled field of gravity between 0.1 and 1 G's in a radius, unless ships have their own worldspace
That would be cool, and relatively easy to implement, as it would only need to effect the jump height. However, it shouldn't be an integral part of the game, and you should have to wait until the most important parts of the game are stable.
I would rather have a ship a few days earlier than the ability to control gravity.

Good point, but I would love to stick on a ship rather than fly off whenever it moves.

it's very exsiting
YAY! Maybe you could help with coding?

or something

Still, It gets very laggy and has a small limit on the size of the ship.
The video on the OP showed a huge ship, much larger than anything Zeppelin could do.
This mod looks intriguing, however it seems no one has posted in quite a while, any details on progress?Sorry, I am derp, I read someone's join date as the date of posting.
