I know everyone trolls and flames the guy that asks this but it must be done for a mod this spectacularly awesome-how much have you gotten done and how much more is there to go through? And yes I do know this mod is only about 1/2 to one month through (I think... )
Actually this mod has been going scene August, I think. But there is a ton of stuff the mod team is doing. They are practically creating a sort of minecraft-MMO-thingy-with-space-ships. Which form Forostbytes comments and awnsers here must be draining

Well, I'm not going to flame of troll you, but check out the first page of this topic(it might take some comment searching) there is a post by frostbite with a link to the dev blog where you can find all of the progress of the mod! Hope this was helpful!
I saw him rewhitelist you, so I think you should be able to join, it must've whitelisted you under the wrong name before
in game name cty21 reason to be whitelisted i want to help improve the server, meet the awesomest people ever the people on the thread and multiplayer is awesome pls send me a message when im whitelisted -cty21
I am a modder, though, not the best, i can still help on minor maybe even intermediate difficulty tasks. I would enjoy helping anyway that i can. You can take all of the credit for what i contribute due to the fact that i just want to help you GET THIS MOD OUT TO THE WORLD and not take credit for it. If you decline my offer I will still appreciate this mod in return. It is your decision, more help or not.
I am very unhappy at the moment. The server is never on and I can't build anything! I think you should either leave it on for longer or rent a server. It isn't a lot of money for a decent sized server and would let more people create for longer.
I think the sizes for the bigger ships is quite un-realistic. 20,000-100,000 blocks cubed for a dreadnought?! The Enterprise-D was only 642 meters long and 137 high! Then there is, of course, Minecraft's height limit itself (128 blocks). And render distance, which, even on far, comes nowhere even CLOSE to seeing 1000 blocks let alone 100,000! Ship battles would be near impossible on the scale your talking! You wouldn't even be able to SEE you opponent until his ship was practically RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! I like the concept, but ships would need to be on the scale of 100-500 blocks cubed, not 100,000! Other than that, I like this idea a bunch. Keep working on it.

There are times when I feel like both the luckiest and unluckiest man in the universe.

Oh dear. It appears that here we have someone who doesn't realise that we have ships that are six time that size (100,000 blocks) working. True, with a lot of kinks to be sorted out, especially when it comes to the collision engine, but working none the less, and with practically no lag too!
P.S. The ship in the video was 600,000 blocks in size, so I'm actually revising my sizes upward by a factor of ten (dreadnoughts are now 200,000 to a 1,000,000 blocks).
P.P.S. The Enterprise D would then be over ten million blocks in size (10,000,000 blocks, assuming a height of 120 meters), so... you may have wanted to revise your maths before telling me that counterproductive piece of information.

The scale is acceptable for powerful servers, and with the lack of lag that comes with even the large ships. We can create the large ship battles seen in star trek, but anything larger would be too inefficient to make. However, this mod would allow for space stations at the scale you are imagining.

Sorry, I got all confused and was somehow thinking you meant 20,000-100,000 blocks long/wide. Idk how I was thinking cubed meant length or something. Just disregard my whole other post. Dumb post was dumb.

its been on I think for 72 hours strate
some times I haff to log out of minecraft then log back in for it to work
Can i just ask do you intend to use Entity's as your ships or are you going to just use blocks?
I'm assuming you are just going for giant moving block ships,
In that case do you intend there shape to be predefined or up to the player?
Do you intend to use redstone (or some similar method) to work weapons and other devices?
If you do i assume you know it has been found to be almost impossible to move TileEntitys without massive lag and glitches? (unless you want to totally rewrite 90% of the code that deals with them)
I only ask because i have spent quite a lot of time looking into the movement of TileEntitys and never managed to get more than very jerky grid movement. (without horrible crashing that is)
I would like to say I'm impressed by the size of the object you managed to move and it looks quite well done.

He acquired that remote toolkit plugin for his server, and that autorestarts it among other things, so as long as it was run once since that computer was turned on, it should continue to run. I hope you'll be able to get on there soon, a bunch of stuff popped up and it is awsome.Man, this thread is really alive! I remember my time as a guest, watching it for two months, and it barely moved at all!Hey, look! it merges your posts for you! now thats innovation!

What texture pack is that?

What I'll say is that Skyrim is a very dangerous game that should not be attempted by people with a schedule to maintain.
...I'll get back to work now.
clearly needs some texturing and some work but I need to know a little about what you want for this
very much agreed..... must have lost 15 hours of doing homework to that game
if so can i have it to test out all the ships on the server?
if not will i ever?
