It doesn't make sense that there is TNT included in the construction of guns, there should be gunpowder or TNT in the crafting of the ammo, but in the weapons it doesn't make sense.
Alright, I've finally returned from my mission at the heart of the Empire with new Tech Schematics! :wink.gif:
Alright Doc; I told you that I would be doing what I could to secure the needed Gravity tech required for this Project, and I have!! :biggrin.gif:
I have spoken with Ivorius (author of GravityCraft) and MineT3485 (Author of MineUp!) who have just teamed up to join their Gravity-manipulation methods and engines together. They have already pulled off miracles in the field of Minecraftian Gravity Manipulation and have the tech to pull off even greater miracles.
* As a result of these communications; as they work to combine and add on to their Gravity Engine, they will be working on making a Cubic Chunks & FutureCraft compatible version of it! :biggrin.gif: This will allow us/you to easily add whatever Gravity effects that are needed, such as Zero G in orbit/space, artificial gravity generators for ships etc.
In fact; MineT now has the ability to rotate blocks/entities etc in any direction so as to align them with an arbitrary gravity direction! Combined with Ivorious's Gravity tech it actually will become possible to create either two-sided gravity wells (like a 2-sided gravity well with a flat surface at the center) or a Cubic moon or Planet with each side having everything aligned appropriately to itself!
That's right, Cube Planets and Moons should become possible!! :biggrin.gif:
Here is a taste of the Gravity effects possible ( A mini-cube world), it doesn't have MineT's reoriented blocks in it but that will come later with the merging:
Well, I hope this helps the Project achieve it's goals that much sooner. There is still much work to be done concerning the Gravity aspects but now you have more solid data on what is/will be possible to be accomplished in FutureCraft once the new engine is ready and compatible. I have also informed Robinton of all this so that he will be ready to assist them with the compatibility issues. :smile.gif:
** Please everybody stop by the Gravity thread and say hi to Ivorious and MineT. Let them know how important all of this is to you all and how much you appreciate their help with this Project! And let them know MineCrak sent you. :wink.gif:
Um.. Im confused. Is this a mod yet? is there a prerealease? Is there anyway to use it? is this WIP? Please answer questions.
I can't officially speak for this Project here but since you PM'd me asking me to answer here I will say this; it is my perception only:
The FutureCraft Project is a Large-Scale WIP mod that is mostly concept at this point but with code, structure, and design elements being actively worked on. There is not a completion date because there is so much yet to be done in something this huge.
You may wish to think of this Project as something that is currently in the 'Mod Discussion' thread and not in the 'Mod WIP' or 'Mod Released' thread. :wink.gif:

It's a bit to dark to see it but if it looks like something with a cockpit for the pilot, two arms, two legs, a jet pack on its back or feet and a small mining/repair laser then it is what I was thinking of.

so... will something like this be included in the mod?
Lol nice spaceship how long did it take you to build that?
And maby you can make it wider so it fits more spaceships or a bigger version of it.
Btw how big is it?
Well.... first, it took me about 7 hours in total (30 minecraft days). I am making a new one about twice the size and it could easily fit more ships, and I do not know the exact dimensions of the spaceship. But, with an educated guess I would say about 75-80 blocks long, 20 blocks wide, and 25-30 blocks in width.
hee blockman42 need some help building spaceships, well i would love to help you with your spaceships and got some pretty good ideas
Cool, I can have someone to help me build ships (thank god, building massive ships alone is a *****!). The only problem is we don't have a server. If someone could lend us a map or something, I'd be definitely into it. \

1) i have a sever that could be used for this, and i would love to help as well!
2) would i need to MCedit out an area for the spaceship? (if u do want to use my sever)
he has a point..
I finally fished a spaceship from awhile back.... Its not how I expected it to turn out but here we go:

He was joking. On topic, I'm ecstatic to see this project back up and running.

Also, I may go a little overboard in heavy ships, I like mobile planetary defense ships :tongue.gif:

Don't forget these ones too!!!
so, I have started on a new ship right next to the old one. Tell31, I can give u the map download from mediafire and we can get started from there!
