Poll: The name of that mod should be different from Ships&Boats and Ph
We have agreed with Eagle_Orion, creator of PhysicsCraft, and Shereis, to join forces to make a mod featuring physics from PhysicsCraft and also the rendering and block interaction facilities of Ships&Boats.
Float-On / Float-Off Ships this is complete by partially submerge the ship, awaiting only the onward ...ship movers weight and unpack your boat straight from the water.
Dunno if you saw the above
Another issue... Seem to be stuck on some lily pads... Like, I know they've got rhizomes as thick as my arm, but the stems aren't all that tough... Would it be possible to have them run through in future updates? And how about an ice breaker as well?
Noticed this as well, lots of space to move but my ship keeps getting stuck - see pic - also, keep getting off the boat to clear stuff out of the way but laddder up doesn't work? edit - er... Yeah, so I saw in the usage "trouble shooting" section regarding this issue. Would very much like to see this a priority fix, will use in deeper waters for now.
I was thinking maybe different materials could have different breaking "weights" Iron will bust through ice, wood and harder could take care of lilies, etc.
Question - will these work in lava? If so, groovy, if not, maybe have it so that obsidian and some types of stone would work, iron maybe, but it should heat up and start causing damage after time, other stuff like that.
Could you please use this form to add all of the above features you want me to add to the mod? Please use one entry per requested feature.
Collision detection is still very coarse, so it is common that a relatively small ship would get stuck. Meanwhile it is better to move only in open sea.
I haven't tested the mod in lava, but it would probably sink, since the floating algorithms are programmed to work in water. I can add support for lava if you fill the form
Thanks for defending me folks. I don't have time to answer to retards anyway.
1 thing) does the rudder have to be so rusty as on image? ^^
2 thing) I will just make 3 models for rudders,
*behind the block
*under block
*over block
Ok any volunteer wanna do the rudder very fast? I never been so busy, i barely got time to breath now. Long story, any modeller?
I just can't do that at the moment!
As for the water, He ahs said multiple times that its normal and WILL happen when you submerge its very hard to program the water to stay out It won't kill you.
As for the # of ships. I have no idea, Ive only built 3 so far(all on different maps)

Ok, so I just finished a boat for the new banner, and when I try to get into it, I automatically travel to the bottom of the boat, underwater. What should I do?
Hi there this seems like a great mod but I have a question. With regards to submarines, I guess the pumps allow you to submerge yourself but is the water meant to be able to get in still? So far though it seems excellent, it adds a different dimension of difficulty and balance that zeppelin doesn't have. Also, how is performance generally? Could I make a 1000 block ship without lag? I know this depends on your computer but for you at least how big can you make a ship before it becomes unplayable?
The water's there because it's difficult to get rid of code-wise. sirentropy said somewhere in the thread that he'll get rid of it at some point, but given the difficulty of that code it's a lower priority for now.
I've yet to actually try it out, but I assume that you can build a substantially large ship with little lag, given that the default number of maximum blocks is twenty thousand. I'll go out on a limb and assume that sirentropy took performance on lower quality computers into account when he chose that value.
1. Find ocean
2. Build desired ship above water (deck should be 2 blocks above the surface of the water)
3. When done, build a rectangle around it out of SHipyard blocks, only dont make a full rectangle. DOnt build the part infront of the ship.
4. Place the Seat on the ship, facing the front of the ship
5. smash a champagne bottle on your ship. CHampagne bottles are made by 1 sugar on top of a glass bottle.
Yes, you can. I do think that redstone has been know to work oddly when placed near the edge of a ship, however. Also, does anyone know an alternative to Techne for fast and easy moddeling?
Ok, getting a reeeeeally weird error. Minecraft now gets stuck in the "loading, simulating world" screen forever, Only started after I made my latest ship with the iron on it to take some screen shots for the suggestion forms - following is what I'm seeing in MC Patcher.

I found a GREAT texture pack for making iron ships. I got it from a site for a Naval Battlezone server. Sadly, the server seems all but dead ATM (the one guy who joined said it sometimes fills up) but they had GREAT Texture packs.
it's called "shipyard plate"

1) No. Just make it wooden.
2) Good idea
What do you use?
As for the # of ships. I have no idea, Ive only built 3 so far(all on different maps)
Hokay, I just submitted 4 forms.
Speaking of techne, any chance theres an actual DOWNLOAD instead just a runner? i can no longer use it, and i would still like to help out.

I have tests to do.
Expanding boundaries since 2011.
Here you go, and its numbered, too!
