Poll: The name of that mod should be different from Ships&Boats and Ph
We have agreed with Eagle_Orion, creator of PhysicsCraft, and Shereis, to join forces to make a mod featuring physics from PhysicsCraft and also the rendering and block interaction facilities of Ships&Boats.
It seems to me that if anyone really wants to help get this mod finished than they should be drawing the attention of modders who have some good mods already completed, That way if they are interested they can get in touch with SirEntropy to get it done. So go and show this mod to other modders.
Can you make it to where the water doesn't come in the submarine
and make boats have a more physical base, whenever i make a ship, it just floats on the bottom blocks, it's quite annoting to see a pirate ship balance in one block... on water
Looks very good, maybe you should add more noticeable characteristics to separate it from the zeppelin mod like you said. Maybe like wind so you can have a use for a mast? Just a suggestion though.

My only petition is not about an update for 1.4.6 or anything like that, I was searching for 1.2.5 mods and I found this wonderfull mod: ZIPLIINE, it`s pretty simple actually, but with that mod you can make the flags that you want, you can make a sailboat, no more wool blocks that needs more space, and it always look bad with a huge sail with a width of 1 block ( you can walk in ropes, like pirate ships too).
The problem is when you trow the bottle, it says "saving chunks" and it´s does nothing. I guess that has some problem with block ID`s or something. PLEASE it`s just a bug, I´m not asking for a hole update, just this. Please read this, at least tell me if you won´t do it, but just tell me.
Its probably a 12-13 yrs old spoiled kid that just throw a fit on the forum because his favorite mod isn't updated, he doesn't deserve any attention here.
Exactly what I was thinking, sorry kiddos this dev as a real life and decided it was far more important than this mod (and it is, RL is more important than anything else theses days), he's offering the code to anyone that want to work and do a port of it for any new version of MC, but I don't really think it will happen. Its the end of an era, unless 1.5 bring a real API that would make it a breeze to port the mod, I don't think it will happen shortly at least.
The thing about the 1.3.2 update screw all the mods, even Single Player Commands, Slappy McCracken, etc. It`s better to jump over 1.3.2 and go to 1.4.2/5. As far as I know, is easy to modding in 1.4.5 than 1.3.2, so I hope anyone to update this very original and unique mod.
Go spread some words to other moders so it shure get updated quickly.
The problem isn't updating for 1.3.2, its that since the 1.3.2 MC edition require SMP support for everything to work, even if its easier to port mods for 1.4.5/1.4.6 it first need to be SMP compatible to 100% which is what 1.3.2 was about, if the mod is only ssp for 1.2.5 like this one, there's no way it can be easier to update it for either 1.3.2 or 1.4.5/1.4.6

I downgraded to 1.2.5 just to test this mod. I keep crashing with this..
Make sure to have a clean minecraft.jar then install Forge 3.3.8.152 (not the latest one) for 1.2.5 then install Ships and boats 0.10.2, it must be the last thing you put in the minecraft.jar (not in the mods folder, in the minecraft.jar) otherwise it won't work, also won't work with Magic Launcher, use MultiMC if you want ease of use, just make sure that ShipsandBoats is the last thing loaded in the jar section after Forge...

Does anyone know whether we'll be able to use our old ships or will we have to rebuild them with this physics thingy?
Im pretty sure if you can dry dock your ship and get it as part of the world again youll be able to keep it.
I want to add some physics of my own Ive been thinking of but I have to get the code first and maybe talk to eagle orion of physics craft. Hopefully someone can get ahold of him since from the other posts ive read sir entropy isnt answering emails.
Also has anyone used ICBM mod? Reason I ask is youve seen all of the mechanical mods they do and itd be really interesting to have to power your ship.

I think there's a repository link there somewhere. Or check the latest postings in this thread from sirentropy, he did post a link to not only the source for the latest release but also the latest source that he was working on before he had to stop.
Ok well looks like the best way would be to start over and just copy the code over to a new base mod. Lot of work to be done but Ill do my best guys, I dont have a ton of time for this though.

You need his permission to release it. You should ask him beforehand, but you can always work under his nose in the mean time.
