EDIT: Demonette, you updated to 1.2.5? I gotta see this...and I owe you a huge one for keeping it afloat while I was busy.
School is finally out of the way (Yay summer!) but if I take this back up I must say the syprent is probably not going to be made, and it's because I was way over my head at the time and now i'm a bit rusty (and waaaay behind) so yh. The good news is I can add new stuff otherwise, ideas that have been coming up while i've been gone. (I also have a bit more Java experience so I can optimize and do some funner stuff too!)
@Flap you can certainly port the current version to Forge, however since i'm taking over again the source won't be as open, so it might not be worth it. It's up to you however.
Speaking of the source, Demonette can you pm me the source code? seems the download only has classes.
EDIT: Did something happen while I was gone with ModLoaderMp/ModLoader's 1.2.5 versions? I can't seem to get them to boot from a 1.2.5 .jar.
Ok so i've taken some extensive time playing demonette's version, and it looks like she made a clean port (more or less)
There's only been 3 issues i've hit:
1. the skeletons using player skin issue.
2. I keep getting jarring sound lag, but i'm not sure if it's the mod or modloader or modloadermp or something else.
3. for some reason, normal stone is generating in the Nether.
But Silverfish, Villagers and Cows all had correct texture positions so I think the skin screwups aren't this mod, general.

Well a possible issue is she did a clean port, not an updated port, which is to say all the entities do not use new AI, etc. A result of that could be the jarring sound (since the new AI speeds stuff up a ton) and the weird texture issues.(not sure that's why, but it might be connected)
I have no idea why the stone is generating however, I never made something like that. Demonette must have accidentally did it while porting. (perhaps as a test?)

Yes but it's reobfuscated which means i'd need to rename everything twice: once to get it back to demonette's position and once again to fix bugs. Another problem is anything new she might have added, which I wouldn't recognize, would be untranslateable.

ok well i would like to point out a few bugs in the mod
1. sword does not have blocking when right clicking (need this )
2. the pickaxe seems nerfed before i remember mining obsidian with ease now mining nether bricks take the longest of time to mine
3. tilled soulsand unlike farmland when you walk on it it will turn back into regular soulsand which farmland needs you to jump on it
4. when jumping on tilled soulsand it will turn it into dirt
5. weapons and armor can not be enchanted it seems
6. netheran clippers do not seem to drop mob spawners as they did before

"What about this one?" you say? Well, this is going to be put into the new mod! So everything here will be in the new mod, as well as other goodies I can think up.
I would put up a final 1.2.5 version of Nether Better but 1.3 is so close I don't see a real point.

Essentially. Mostly overworld since I can't think of much to add to The End without disrupting the boss battle...
maybe you could somehow make stuff happen after the boss battle somehow like land starts to generate after killing the ender dragon so with that you can kind of call the ender dragon a guardian of the end

It is currently singleplayer only, does not require ModLoaderMP. Fixed the nether skeletons having player skins.
