Okay, Multiplayer seems to be completely broken. Mobs are becoming immune to attacks; keys are breaking permanently (rebinding them isn't working now); Leash seems broken; Spawn point randomly changes; naga ghost into blocks, become immortal then ghost out and become vulnerable; dwarves clip into blocks and get stuck; wands stop working...
Should mention that this could be because I put the update on top of the old server, so...
If you stuck any 0.5 on top of 0.4, that'd cause major issues. If you stuck 0.5.2 on say 0.5.1, there could be a few issues, but it's hard to say. For now, since we're in alpha and I can't afford to support prior world versions, just make a new world if I majorly change the version number, or you're getting excessive, odd issues.
First, I just want to say that this is an awsome mod! Seccondly, I have a few requests, which are just requests, things that I would like to see, but perhaps only me. They are:
1) I would love to see a unique dagger-type weapon "Occam's razor" or "Ockham's razor" which does bonus damage to metaphysical entities, e.g. ghosts and demons, and higher bonus damage PvP based on fortitude/dexterity stats, and lower based on wisdom and intellect stats. Mainly as a fallback weapon if a mage is cornered by some warriors. Some kind of equation like this might work:
But what do I know, I'm neither a modder nor a mathematician
2) An engineer class, for temporary automated traps and sentries as skills, as well as throwable explosives, and possible weapon exclusivity, e.g. guns. I think grappling hook mobility skills would work well if this were ever made.

The exploding arrow is causing a bug with an invisible force field.
And somehow i cant make an hd version of hmterrain.png without it showing up weird
Are you modding the jar itself or using a texturepack? Either way, if the terrain.png of the texturepack you're using is of a lower resolution, it will automatically reduce the hd texture to the chosen pack's resolution. This is for technical reasons that can't be avoided.
So ive been playing this mod for a few days now and it is simply awesome. me and a friend have been enjoying it alot.
There are a few common bugs but they can be solved easily if people are still needing help.
1. Cant move when you spawn
Fix: Change control settings then change it back, should work now.
2. Black Screen when you enter the world
Fix: Change video settings (View distance or graphic options) then disconnect and relog.
3. When you Reset your class you cant gain any more exp and you get kicked if you collect more.
Fix: Delete the player in the Players folder. This will wipe you clean, but you can always store items in a chest before you do that.
And I do have a few suggestions, just tossing ideas around about things i enjoy in RPGs.
1. A party Heal spell for Mages, or a Priest class in general. (see below for priest idea).
2. Staff Weapons for Mage, so they can hit someone with a melee attack without consuming mana (Still powered by INT).
3. Healing/Mana Potions.
4. Resting in a bed to recover HP/Mana faster.
5. Food/Hunger implemented (i stated this before in a previous post, but its still something id like to see).
Also i have a few skill ideas for classes, aswell as new class ideas.
Warrior:
Shield buff to absorb a % of damage for 10 seconds or so. to help tank when a mage spams AoEs.
Sweeping Strike to do a small AoE in melee range.
2 Handed weapons.
Ranger:
Daggers
Sneaking or stealth to avoid mobs and make it easier to destroy mob spawners in groups.
Throw Poison Knife.
Mage:
Heal
Fireball - Small AoE Fireball (basic fireball kinda sucks).
Frost Nova - personal AoE to freeze (or stun nearby enemies).
Chain Lightning - Direct lightning damage that bounces to nearby enemies based off INT.
Priest:
Heal Skill - Heals you and nearby allies
Holy Bolt - deals small damage, but large damage to undead and orcs.
Agility Up - Increase movement speed for party for a set amount of Time.
Smite - Functions like Thunder for Mages but no fire, and more damage to orcs and undead.
Alchemist:
Throw Potions - Works kind of like Bows and Arrows, but you can have different types of throwable damage potions that burst into a small AoE (Like Splash potions but longer range and more damage types).
Summon Golem - Creates a golem ally to fight (its level is equal to your level)
Quagmire - Creates a small AoE that slows enemies that move into it.
Repair Equipment - Restores some durability on equiped weapon at the cost of Iron, Gold, and Diamonds (each tier restores more durability)
Thats just a few ideas i had. Love the mod and all your hard work though. Hope it gets even better!

I was thinking maybe a Necromancer class
some abilities I thought up were:
- Summon Ghoul
- Summon Skeleton
you would be able to summon (x) amount of ghouls and skeletons depending on the skill level or a modifier level.
- Necrotic strike (An ability that deals necrotic damage).
- Frightening blow (Causes the enemy to flee in fear).
- Demonic stance (increases the damage of all party members by (x)%, increases on skill level or modifire increase).
I'm not sure on the complexity of it, but if you could pull off a system off elements I think it would be really cool like:
- Acid
- Frost
- Fire
- necrotic
- etc...
I think you get the idea. Some of the cool things you could do with the system like this or even without it would be things like ongoing damage simialr to being on fire, or something like slows and snares(AKA getting rooted in spot).
Some Warrior abilities I thought up were:
- Bash (stuns an enemy for (x) amount of seconds). could potentially be a shield bash.
- cleave (swings your weapon through the air hitting multiple targets).
- Shove (pushes the enemies unfront of you away). essentialy it would be like "Fus ro duh"
I was also thinking that the warriors charge ability would be me useful if it either stunned the nearby enemies you charged into, or if it knocked them back.
Some abilites I beleive instead of doing between (x) - (x) amount of damage that it did (x)% of damage

First off, I love this mod! You've done an amazing job! And the fact that everything works in SMP (something many mods fail to do) only adds to the fun!
I have found a bug in SMP, though I am sorry not to be able to provide information on what exactly causes the bug: sometimes, an item starts duplicating itself, quickly filling entire inventories and preventing players from picking up any new items. The item generally duplicates itself when removed from its inventory slot, by simply filling it again, but sometimes, it fills the entire inventory with duplicates at once. This seems to happen when you open a chest or any other utility block that shows your inventory.
The bug has appeared on several occasions on my server: a few times, it seemed to happen at random moments. At others, it happened when a player destroyed a filled chest as a quick way to collect all items inside of it.
I'm not sure if it's any help, but I thought it would be worth pointing out. I'm also wondering if anyone else has seen the bug so far.
(The bug could of course be a 'vanilla bug', but I first started encountering it since the last update)
I also have a few suggestions for new races:
Gnomes. They would be about the size of dwarves, but slim.
I thought of a description for them (feel free to change anything you want, if ever you'd decide to implement the Gnomes):
"The Gnomes are the most technologically advanced of all races, and are rumored to have been the first to create minecarts, dispensers and even nether portals. They generally live in small groups, often far from other civilizations, and often spend day and night studying books and scrolls.
Though many Minecraftians hardly know of their existence, the Gnomes have been in Minecraftia for a long time, and have influenced the technology of other races on many occasions."
They would be a perfect starting race for the engineer class that was suggested by Katzekitteh, if you'd choose to implement it.
Also: Giants.
"The giants are well-known as the dumbest of all races. Comparisons to cows are often seen as insulting to the cow. But what they lack in intelligence, they more than make up for in brute force. Giants like to storm into battles head-on, smashing both friend and foe in their way. They are easily tricked, and other races often use them as cheap laborers and soldiers."
Giants would be larger than Elves, and far more heavy-looking. As their size could prevent them from using doors, a warning should probably be listed after their description.
Last of all, halflings may not be able to pass through 1 block high holes, but they can walk through 1,5 block high holes (which you can make using stairs and halfsteps), so they can build houses that no-one else can enter (which is pretty awesome). Do you know if crouching actually decreases the height of your bounding box? Because if it does, it should be possible to create a race that can not walk through (for example) 1.5 block high holes, but is able to crouch through them.
Hah, I love the idea of Gnomes inventing all the Minecraft technologies XD Might have to use that for one of the races. Perhaps that race could have a secret society, responsible for each technological innovation since the beginning of Minecraftia? Would make a great quest line... could end with a randomly generated, Donkey Kong style minecart escape!
Originally, I was going to call Halflings "Gnomes" instead, but I decided a LotR feel would be preferable to a WoW feel, for what its worth. I could see gnomes being dwarfly sized and slender, but as for being technologically savvy... not sure, I'd like to stray away from what's been done before (though only to the extent that it benefits the mod.) Originality adds so much to any creative endeavor, and I'd be pretty hesitant to forgo it. There's always the DnD style gnome, which is basically a magically imbued, other-dimensional, chaotic humanoid that doesn't coexist well with others. Would work well for the new dimensions I'm adding...
Giants... not sure. Doing this would be easy, but would introduce a lot of unexpected errors and problems, and **** off anyone trying to use a door (everyone, really.) Maybe Giants could be world-class limboers? XD They could be Jamaican! Wait, that's ripping off the WoW trolls.

Wow I look at this mod two weeks later and it has progressed so far! Anyways Could you update the post? There is no Info on the playable races on the main page. I would try it myself but I really dont want to downgrade my minecraft without knowing how everything works.

I have been thinking, and I feel that subclasses should be added to the mod.
Here's my thinking with the class trees:
-Warrior (has the same abilities it as now, add fury (strength and dexterity increase by 2, damage highly increased, short duration, and possibly duel wield if it gets implemented in this mod.)
-Executioner (focuses on axes and very, very heavy armor. The ultimate tank)
Abilities:
-Fortify (increases defense)
-Heavy Blow (High damage axe-only attack)
-Vault (as this class is heavy, it must vault not leap)
-Kick (knocks back enemy)
-Shield (protects player from the next 2 blows)
-Royal Guard (DPS based warrior)
Abilities
-Chain (freezes nearby enemies for a moment)
-Blade of Hell (infuses blade with fire, burning enemies)
-Razorcut (a serrated blow)
-Power (uses all mana, very long cool down. AOE that destroys all enemies in the area by striking each with 5 lightning bolts)
-Hero (The final stand, when below a certain amount of health, all your defense is put onto your attack.)
-Mage (caster class, has the same abilities as wizards currently do. add Error 404: Firewall to create a ring of fire around the player. and terraBOOM to create an explosive attack)
-Priest (team based - focuses on heals)
Abilities:
-Heal (heals player you're looking at)
-Group heal (heals the group)
-Cleanse (removes any poisons or burns)
-Praise (increases health of players around them)

-Bard (armed with music disks, it dices through it's enemy and acts as a support class to add buffs to the party and debuff the enemy)

-Song of Flight (a leap that makes the player hover for a moment longer at the height of the jump)
-Song of Triumph (increases strength of players within a set amount blocks by a certain percent)

NOTE: You may change around the class abilities, effects, names, and add/remove anything as you see fit.
More status effects would be nice and will add more abilities the priest and bard.
A party system for SMP would allow the group affects to affect the party only.

Kinda adding onto what you were saying. I wouldn't so much subclassing, but more of a way of defining how you wanna play. Like if you want to be a warrior, yet you only wanna use one kind of melee weapon. If you wanna be a preist type class, but not a healer. More of a way of choosing your role. I'm thinking more of a specialized class then a subclass.
As a side note I thought of I think that you should be able to pick your gender at the class/race selection window.

You should add generated towns that have villagers to trade with and get quests
You should add lots of more weapon types like weapons+ or battlegear
Add more armor
Lots of more unique mobs! Like demons, minotuars, dragons, goblins, or corrupted cows,sheep,pigs, etc.

Hah, I love the idea of Gnomes inventing all the Minecraft technologies XD Might have to use that for one of the races. Perhaps that race could have a secret society, responsible for each technological innovation since the beginning of Minecraftia? Would make a great quest line... could end with a randomly generated, Donkey Kong style minecart escape!
Originally, I was going to call Halflings "Gnomes" instead, but I decided a LotR feel would be preferable to a WoW feel, for what its worth. I could see gnomes being dwarfly sized and slender, but as for being technologically savvy... not sure, I'd like to stray away from what's been done before (though only to the extent that it benefits the mod.) Originality adds so much to any creative endeavor, and I'd be pretty hesitant to forgo it. There's always the DnD style gnome, which is basically a magically imbued, other-dimensional, chaotic humanoid that doesn't coexist well with others. Would work well for the new dimensions I'm adding...
Giants... not sure. Doing this would be easy, but would introduce a lot of unexpected errors and problems, and **** off anyone trying to use a door (everyone, really.) Maybe Giants could be world-class limboers? XD They could be Jamaican! Wait, that's ripping off the WoW trolls.

Hey, how about you go develop your own mod, before acting like you know everything about someone else's hard work? Why don't YOU make them work with the mod, and PM him the fix?
That's already a mod, why would he copy someone elses work?
Here's my thinking with the class trees:
-Warrior (has the same abilities it as now, add fury (strength and dexterity increase by 2, damage highly increased, short duration, and possibly duel wield if it gets implemented in this mod.)
-Executioner (focuses on axes and very, very heavy armor. The ultimate tank)
Abilities:
-Fortify (increases defense)
-Heavy Blow (High damage axe-only attack)
-Vault (as this class is heavy, it must vault not leap)
-Kick (knocks back enemy)
-Shield (protects player from the next 2 blows)
-Royal Guard (DPS based warrior)
Abilities
-Chain (freezes nearby enemies for a moment)
-Blade of Hell (infuses blade with fire, burning enemies)
-Razorcut (a serrated blow)
-Power (uses all mana, very long cool down. AOE that destroys all enemies in the area by striking each with 5 lightning bolts)
-Hero (The final stand, when below a certain amount of health, all your defense is put onto your attack.)
-Mage (caster class, has the same abilities as wizards currently do. add Error 404: Firewall to create a ring of fire around the player. and terraBOOM to create an explosive attack)
-Priest (team based - focuses on heals)
Abilities:
-Heal (heals player you're looking at)
-Group heal (heals the group)
-Cleanse (removes any poisons or burns)
-Praise (increases health of players around them)
-Necromancer*
Abilities:
- Summon Ghoul
- Summon Skeleton
(you would be able to summon (x) amount of ghouls and skeletons depending on the skill level or a modifier level.)
- Necrotic strike (An ability that deals necrotic damage).
- Frightening blow (Causes the enemy to flee in fear).
- Demonic stance (increases the damage of all party members by (x)%, increases on skill level or modifire increase).
-Rogue (yes, replace ranger with rogue)
Starting Abilities:
-Poisoned blades (poisons enemy when attacking)
-Cloak (renders player invisible to enemy mobs - great for get aways)
-Tumble (passive, reduces fall damage)
-Deception (deploys a decoy to attract mob attention)
-Steal (loots enemy)
-Mayhem (causes enemies to go berserk and kill each other)
-Flee (increased sprint)
-Suicide (passive after casting, explosion occurs once player dies)
-Ranger (Same ranger as currently implemented, add the spawn arrow ability to spawn more arrows)
-Bard (armed with music disks, it dices through it's enemy and acts as a support class to add buffs to the party and debuff the enemy)
Abilities:
-Song of Flight (a leap that makes the player hover for a moment longer at the height of the jump)
-Song of Triumph (increases strength of players within a set amount blocks by a certain percent)
-Song of Rhythm (increases dexterity of players within a set amount of blocks by a certain percent)
-Song of Doom (poisons/burns** enemies within a set amount of blocks)
-Song of Life (heals players within a set amount of blocks)
-Dance of Heaven (increases all stats by 1 when in range of an active jukebox)

NOTE: You may change around the class abilities, effects, names, and add/remove anything as you see fit.
More status effects would be nice and will add more abilities the priest and bard.
A party system for SMP would allow the group affects to affect the party only.
Kinda adding onto what you were saying. I wouldn't so much subclassing, but more of a way of defining how you wanna play. Like if you want to be a warrior, yet you only wanna use one kind of melee weapon. If you wanna be a preist type class, but not a healer. More of a way of choosing your role. I'm thinking more of a specialized class then a subclass.
As a side note I thought of I think that you should be able to pick your gender at the class/race selection window.
