Not all of them were good. Removeing single player was the worst thing that ever happend. NOBODY EVER USES THE OPEN TO LAN THING. And now playing singleplayer is so buggy that i dont even play it anymore. 1.3. world generatons is slow and there are more lighting errors than in 1.2.5. (best minecraft version known to exist in my opinion). But with this they forced the modders to make their mods server compatible. Which is good, cause now the number of SMP mods will increase.
I have heard of Lan parties and i would like the function if it worked over hamachi but it doesnt.
First of all, it's an amazing feature for everyone involved. It lets Mojang run their game better, it makes it easier for modders in the long run... and I use the Open to Lan feature every single day.
Furthermore, Hamachi works fine with Minecraft... I've used Hamachi even back to the earliest Beta stages. It's just a matter of setting it up right.
Well I've got textedit and I know how to use it to edit a file, but I've got utterly no clue as to how to save the edited file as a .cfg.
Save the file as normal. If it reverts to .txt or whatnot, just edit the filename and change the .txt or whatnot to be .cfg. The files are essentially the exact same thing, but different programs recognize them a different way. Changing the ending will change the filetype.
Also your text program may have an "Export" function that will allow you to save it as a .cfg file.
hi, i'm trying to find a way to prevent those things;
1: IC2 and Redpower machines turn other sides after activating and deactivating ship. Also MFSU and Transformer sides are important to keep machines active as you know.
2: Nuclear reactor can hold its content like uranium and coolant cell but IC2 machines can't hold their upgrade's like ''transformer upgrade''
3:Nuclear reactor causes crash if you add reactor chambers, without them works fine
4.Red alloy wire breaks after deactivating ship, probably because of diagonal connections.
Also is there a link for adding meta data for buildcraft-redpower2 and etc, it is not actually important to see flowers and transparent blocks while moving but after deactivating the controller, i have deployers looking wrong way(redpower2item) MV and LV transformers(IC2item) connected wrong sides.
I think that this is one of the greatest mod for minecraft, actually a reason to play the game, this is why i want to prevent those things i mentioned.
cant wait for the update ive made so many ships in anticipation... this is the third mod i downloaded back in 1.8 or somethign like that so it is my fav mod cant wait!
Could somebody make like a step to step guide on how to get this mod working for its current released version? I'm kinda a noob, in that i've put on a few mods but i have no clue about version changers or whatever.

Easiest way, grab a copy of MultiMC (its free and amazing way to get multiple version of Minecraft on same computer), create a new instance, launch it once to get a working Minecraft in it, right click the instance, choose downgrade and choose 1.2.5 once its downgraded launch it first and see if its ready in 1.2.5 (this step is really important), then exit the game and get in edit mods (right click the instance) choose mcforge (be crafeful there, don't grab the first you see, its not for 1.2.5, you have to look down in the list for the 3.4.9.171 which is the latest released version for Minecraft 1.2.5 all the others will make your game crash) download The Zeppelin Mod 1.2.5 then add it in the edit mods to the Jar tab of it, the right click the instance again and choose rebuild jar, there you go, you can double click and enjoy Zeppelin Mod 1.2.5 edition
Yay Minecraft 1.4.2 is out... does this mod will work with 1.4.2 if blakmajik will update it to 1.3.2 ??
Probably not. Mods rarely work with a newer version than they're intended for, even if the code changes are minor. Fortunately, it shouldn't be that hard to update it again from 1.3.2 to 1.4.2. Forge was updated the same day, and I heard that one other mod only took the creator 30 minutes to update.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger starshiplocomotive castle and try again.
DIS IS COL MOD WHY IT NOT WORK 1.4.2?? UPDATE PLZ!
Just kidding, I can actually read. Since the search function is broken at the moment, I was wondering if there's any hope for this mod to be included into Technic/Tekkit since it's being moved to the Forge API anyways? Sorry if that question has been asked before, but there are 560 pages to comb through without search. This is more or less the one mod my server is going to revolve around, so it would be super easy for both myself and my users if they didn't have to worry about installing the old fashioned way.
Awesome work, I love everything about this mod.
Also, does anyone have any experience running this alongside Technic? I'm curious what works and what doesn't, when an airship is in motion.
Greetings fellow airship captains, i have a question. I'm building a flying battleship and i can't decide on the engines. The concept i'm going off of has turbine engines, but i don't think they look right. which do you guys think will fit better turbines or props? and if props, many small engines or a few large ones?

The Techic modders do not like this mod because to them it makes moving around the map too easy and makes some of their machines and such pointless.

Is this really a documented reason? It seems extremely odd to me that a modpack containing EE and NEI could make anything about the game "too easy." I can understand the Buildcraft devs being upset that their motors would see a little less use, but the zeppelin controlers are an entirely different tool for an entirely different job.

What I said was the common belief. Also regarding block id's the Zeppelin causes a lot of crashing.
Me too =) +1
[and somewone are remove a quote on my las message why ?!? any reason]
1.4 isn't really a big deal they just added some new stuff no major code changes
Minecraft is a very suggestive game....
he already said he isn't going to add that it would be to hard to resolve direction specific blocks if you rejoined while upside down
Nice Job
