The major changes in 1.3.2 are a good thing. They were long-needed. Sure, it means that almost all mods are going to break and have to be re-coded, but from this point forward it will be much easier to create and maintain mods.
Not all of them were good. Removeing single player was the worst thing that ever happend. NOBODY EVER USES THE OPEN TO LAN THING. And now playing singleplayer is so buggy that i dont even play it anymore. 1.3. world generatons is slow and there are more lighting errors than in 1.2.5. (best minecraft version known to exist in my opinion). But with this they forced the modders to make their mods server compatible. Which is good, cause now the number of SMP mods will increase.

I love the open to LAN option. Ever heard of LAN parties? They are great fun. The Open to LAN option makes my life as a party host SO much easier.

That was the feature that was needed Mojang were basically working on two versions of the game, MP, and SP. Now that there is only MP, they can make the updates way faster. And having that will also making mods for SMP and SP such a hassle for some.
I have a question, if you had an open hole out the bottom of the ship and had a wall with a redstone torch on it next to the hole, then placed tnt on the block just below the torch would the tnt light and fall down the hole while you are moving?

it works for static stuff, but what about on a zeppelin?

Actually you don't have to turn off the ship, and the whole setup is rather unnecessary.
all you need to do is just join TNT to the ceiling in the "bomb bay" and just hit it with flint and steel. make sure that you have a hole in the floor at least 1 block wide on each side of the TNT.
Well I got ideas for whenever this gets updated to current...
New blocks:
Redstone comtrols: Controls ship remotely by redstone signals. below is list of new blocks. All of those will have settable parameters. Sneak-right click with remote control to initialize those new blocks to a specific controller block. Remote control must be initialized first.
Flying mode blocks
1) Rotate left (uses speed set in GUI, works only when "flying mode" and has rotation)
2) Rotate right (same)
3) Up (same, with up/down)
4) Down (same)
5) Foward (same, must have foward/back ability)
6) Back (same)
Controls for controller blocks
1) Activate (Enters fly mode)
2) Deactivate (or re-enter world)
3) Re-Align to block grid
Sensor blocks
1) Flying impact block, outputs redstone signal when some flying object hits it. Useful for stops.
2) Block neighbor detector (It detects only allowed blocks for flying, ignoring redstone wires. None of disallowed blocks will trigger redstone). Useful to check if ship is in dock and not flying. This sensor cannot be "allowed" for flying at all.
Build ideas with those: (distance limited by loaded chunks range)
Automated timed airplane flying routes
Automated ferry across oceans
Platform that goes to other end with simple single button hit. Including up/down or rotate.
Automated multi-stop platform (possible with flying impact box and flying controls. You just set it to embed back in world with impact, and block neighbor alert enables another flying controller to take control and send it other place. Want tour platform? This is it!)
It shouldn't be read-only, I was able to open it on my PC and edit it. If it's a .cfg file, it's really just a .txt file underneath, so I used Textpad to open and edit it. Since you're on a Mac, just look into ways to open a .cfg file using your Mac (I saw a couple answers on Google).
Well I've got textedit and I know how to use it to edit a file, but I've got utterly no clue as to how to save the edited file as a .cfg.
In the meantime, you can have turrets, and they can even turn but you'll have to secure them to your ship with a pane of glass (or something easily breakable) while the ship is in flight, then stop the ship, break the block and swivel the turret to fire. In the past I have used Djoslin's cannon powder mod to shoot live TNT out of dispensers, but those only worked when the turret was locked in place North/South/East/West, thus it could never fire NW, NE, SW or SE or anywhere in between those directions. Djoslin's turret mod is the next best alternative, you can shoot TNT/cannonballs in almost any direction once the ship is stopped, but it looks like a gilette razor on top of a wooden box...
It doesn't work while the ship is in motion? Drat, I was hoping to use that as an alternative.
ok, your new so ill be nice we cant help with out information post your mod list and tell us what you did to install it. ohh, and it works better if you ask nicely like an adult

I know its not nice to say this, but I'm nearly 100% sure he tried to simply install on his Minecraft which is probably in 1.3.2 like most kids have done here, they click on update without thinking about it because they want to see what's new and they don't realize most of the mods aren't out for the new version) also damn Mojang why does the game always ask for an update if you stay with the default minecraft.exe there should be a simple option that would prevent the game from asking if you want to update every time, thanks for MultiMC, I don't have to worry about this, but for the default kid player that doesn't know a lot about this, there should be a way to keep the version we want without risk of clicking update after awhile.
I just wish that the turning was different. But overall really epic. This was an idea of mine when I first started MC and it excites me to see it a reality. Keep up the good work!

Usually I don't respond to people that yell on forums, but you have to turn numlock on to make the boat work
I was speculating that it wouldn't be released in the coming week, lets hope it for 1.5.
I have heard of Lan parties and i would like the function if it worked over hamachi but it doesnt.

there is no 1.3.2 version yet. Blakmajik is still updating.
