there is no reason you could not have a compass in your hands, and there is already that in the base game. Personally I would use my own compass rather than a block compass just because I suspect it would be much easier to read.
If you want slopes check out Kaevator's slopes mod though. Unfortunately because of the block meta-data problem they suffer from the same problems as stairs, ladders, and torches when you return to normal mode and are not facing the original direction.
Could you add moving left and right, not just turning and moving? I was trying to make a Wall and move it into place and it didn't work out well. Just an idea.
heres a funny bug to look into is the beds will rowtate if u turn from there fixed plase...go make a plane and see what i meen and isf u can will u make this mod so u can play with it in the aether
EPIC MOD, but can You make it labtop compatable (no numbpad, arrow keys instead?) This mod will be on the top if you can make some small fixes and changes!

You can configure what blocks are accepted in the config file, check the OP for instructions.
hello ! i'm very enthoustiastic about this mod ! haven't tried it yet though nor read the whole thread, but after seeing videos i have suggestions :
- why not make it so that a ship would be delimited by air contact ? i mean a flying ship would be a conglomerate of any blocks surrounded by air, with a size limit (dunno which) or maybe taking in account only user created blocks to prevent moving the whole world or a floating island :tongue.gif: And a ship on water could not rise in the air, only x/y axis.
- also maybe add many more objects :smile.gif: like a whole system, of sails, say a craftable sail block that you can create shapes with, and if it's a flat shape then the sail is for a boat, and if the resulting shape is enclosing air, then you would need a fire under it, maybe fill it with gas (gas coming from ?... melting coal in a bottle made of glass, maybe something like an air compressor block like in the scuba diving mod ?), maybe a system like the one agglomerating chests but in a really really larger scale which you can fill with a gas and you need a whole under it (generated in the center of the thing, with a need of a center for that bock) and you need to place a fire under the hole (with the fireable block from the nether) so that the ship begin rising :smile.gif: that would be real zeppelins :tongue.gif: and speed would depend on a ratio between the size of the sail/sail cube and of the overall size of the ship.
well i'm proposing what seems like very complicated ideas for me :tongue.gif: but in case you need ideas, there you go :biggrin.gif:
and later it would be incredible to see big fights in smp with ships full of bowmen fighting each other :biggrin.gif: maybe adding big cannons would be an other idea :biggrin.gif:
I think it's already been decided on how the ships will be powered/balanced.
And fighting in SMP, along with cannons, has already been suggested.
You can adjust the maximum number of blocks the controller will grab on to in the mod config file. He warns that the more blocks you have it grab on to the buggier it will get, so be warned.
@Vivlo
This could actually be accomplished without having to recode the mod. In the config file (love that config file!) there is a list of blocks that it will not grab on to. Basically have it grab on to everything instead of restricting it, leaving air on the list (does air get a block?). Any connected blocks will then be held on to by the controller block. You will crash the game if you do not surround your mass by air though. I have not tested it but I am pretty sure having it grab the world will not make the game happy.

You'll get bored and close it before it finishes grabbing the world :wink.gif:
Air does get a block, but you don't have to have it in the list, I've hardcoded it in so don't worry about it.
great mid! im loving it, but one problem is the controls options in game, the done bar blocks some of the buttons so i cant change the keys, is it possible to fix that?

I'm looking at a different interface for the controls, until then, you have to rebind in your options.txt.
Actually right now would be a silly time to make a mod SMP compatible. With 1.8 Notch is "supposed" to be merging the code for SMP and SSP. At that time the code structure might change greatly so porting a game twice would be far more effort than it is worth.
I saw...
I downloaded...
I WAS BLOWN AWAY AT HOW AMAZING THIS MOD IS!!!!!
Ill make that I did it once already looked good wasnt two floors tho but I will do that.

I would do that, but I am on a MAC :sad.gif:
EPIC MOD!
See the OP for rebinding the keys.
