I just remembered, the TARDIS can control the weather. There has to be a function somewhere that does that.
Is it possible for something in another dimension to affect the overworld?
YAY! I'm officialy part of the team! THERE SHALL BE CAKE FOR ALL!
Now that I'm done with my moment of glory, maybe when the npc's come out the psychic paper could be set up to trust people with psychic paper more than other people...thought that hasn't always worked well...(midnight)
Okay, this is my idea for the mod, if NOTHING else I've contributed (The moon, angels teleporting people to other planets, etc. etc.) goes in the mod, I hope this will.
Psychic Paper
It would be crafted something like this, assuming that =leather and = paper
= empty
It would work like this, mainly for SMP.
Let's suppose that there are two people on a server, call them Steve and John. Steve has crafted psychic paper. He puts it in his quick-access bar,and right clicks with it equiped. A gui screen comes up, and he types whatever he wants the psychic paper to say in the gui. Now John, who has no psychic paper, ( :sad.gif: ) right clicks on Steve while Steve has the psychic paper equipped. John then sees whatever Steve most recently typed into the gui. The defualt would be something generic, like "John Smith, Government Agent". Also, if you type in "Mature and responsible adult", the person who right clicks on you sees a bunch of wavy lines. :biggrin.gif:
I thought it could be used for either a 'help' item if you need helped. Also Another idea was random 'help' calls or locations on it to send you to randomly generated tasks.

Yeah we will see how npc's react to you, but if they have relations that could be a good use.
With the 1.9 pre-release released, notch twittered "The reason we're releasing stuff so closely now is a push before the release in November! Server admins and modders, have patience. :wink.gif:" I'm not sure how this will effect this mod's release and development :sad.gif:
He also twitted "We'll do a 1.9 pre-release today, and a full release after feedback. More Adventure Mode content will come in 1.10, we're splitting it up!" So 1.9 will be out soon which means more code errors and the like :sad.gif:

We may have to postpone until an indefinite full release is launched (So 1.10 I guess) :/
You do realize that 1.10 is that same thing as 1.1 right?
Yeah, why do people keep saying 1.10? Is it because the version number will reset once it comes out of beta?
I thought Notch would be more likely to release something like minecraft 2.0.

They say it because 10 is the next positive consecutive integer in the numerabet, god, learn your 1,2,3's :tongue.gif:

You do realise that it's not, as Notch has decided to split 1.9 into two aprts and coined the term '1.10', despite the normal convention of decimals. It'll keep going like this until version 2, which I now reckon will be the final release at Minecon, due to Notch stating that the "1.10 Pre-release" will be coming soon :smile.gif:
SAY, MrJellyBabiez, any idea when this psychedelic logo you said you were going to make will come out? If it's good enough, or not a url, I'll switch it out for my epic Yogscast sig. Which reminds me, it's about time I picked a new one.
Anyways, I'm going to be changing signatures about once every week or so, someone remind me in a week, as I'll probably forget. Also, if anyone knows any FUNNY signatures, send links! Email address is [email protected]
When will this be released? Any idea? I'm REALLY looking forward to this.
Also, will the TARDIS exterior be a block itself, and if you right-click it, you get teleported inside (or something of that nature). I would love to have a TARDIS :smile.gif:
1. Minecraft has pretty much been going through an update-a-week stage in its lifetime, thus impeding our progress. With the way things are going, we will most likely not release anything until after Minecraft gets updated to its final version. :sad.gif:
2. Short answer, no.
Long answer:
What is a Block? A block is many things. Let me count the ways in which the block hath been a block
1. Thy block, having been block shaped, is one metre in all of the classical dimensions. Thy TARDIS, being taller than it shall be in width or in length, is therefore not a block.
2. Is a door, pray tell, a block? Is a torch? While thy game engine, being low in thy class definitions, considers these to be of the block-like nature, it is not considered to be a block by thee traditional definitions. Thy door is twice too tall, thrice too thin, and openable though the punching of the hand. Thy torch is smaller than thy block, and is able to be passed though with the simplist of means. Thy TARDIS is no more a block than an ebony frame, with that hellish gate inside, is one.
3. In fact, the window to the Underworld is the most accurate description of thy TARDIS. It does not teleport you in the instantaneous sense, but rather in the Nethre sense, with less of thy violet swirls and thy nauseating motions.
I have since listed thrice the ways a TARDIS is not a block, now go forth! Share thee information with thy peers! Begone!
(so yeah, it's not 1x1x1, it can be opened and closed like a door, and there's more of a nether portal inside than it would be right-clicking per se)

Just because of your long answer, you have become a legend in Minecraftia! When do the 10 commandments come out?

I might need to add that...

Have any examples of previous work?
Cool. We on our server actually use the stargate plugin which is similar to this.
