Hmm that's a good idea, Pretty much it would just be a wolf. Just you use something other then meat.
On a side note: Things that need to be done before I will allow what I have coded to be released as an alpha/to be tested.

Things that I need to do:
Get the flesh working
Complete the lasers for daleks and cybermen
Finish/come to a reasonable conclusion to the FOB Watch/Getting the Tardis key
I think i'll leave the weeping angels as they are for now, unless someone wants to make a texture and model for them. Another side note currently the tardis spawns as an obsidian block (i think i'll change it to look like a lapis lazul block) and when you right click an "unlocked" tardis (or right click on a locked tardis with the tardis key) it takes you to the nether. It's currently a quick conclusion to it. And will obviously not be the final stage.
Errm... I already did the cat people and sade1212 already did the key... at least I think it's a key... it's a file named key and it looks like a key.
Found on Cybus. If altered by a sonic screwdriver, allows the player to save his/her inventory. If the player dies, the infostamp will respawn with them (much like the fobwatch). If opened, re-fills the players inventory to what it was saved as (aka: If I had a diamond, and used a Infostamp to save it, then died, and then opened it, I would get a diamond again).

Your point is true, but I don't know how that would be possible in the minecraft world. Maybe we will expand the world for stuff like that after we make the mod.
I agree that it would be hard, and you have to remember, we aren't building the tardis yet, and we don't know how it feels. Trust me, We will tune this mod for gameplay, and not just make something and throw it out there, I WANT this mod to feel good when you play it, So maybe It won't work out how I feel it will, or maybe even have two different tardis, one with simplified console and one with more advanced, at this point, who knows...
I don't feel that would make it much harder, also- we need a way to recharge it, maybe you can't just build it so to keep working sonic you have to make something really expensive or keep crafting sonics which could get expensive.
haha. Well if we make companions and a fez, maybe there is a random chance that river blows your hat off and disintegrates it.

Yeah hopefully we will figure out more mobs soon, but I think the ones listed will be the first release wave.

That is a good idea. except make it carftable, not natural
tardis key is done already. So is cat texture I think.
Interesting idea, although could be slightly to powerful... Any one else have an idea? Although it could be good for doctor who adventure maps.
It seems too overpowered to just be "found"... but perhaps it could be crafted from minerals only found on Cybus? You could mine a mineral, like, for example, Bluestone Dust. And maybe the crafting recipe should be bluestone-diamond-iron down the middle column. And you can place it on the ground, torch-style, and sonic it. This will save your inventory, and you can regain it if you hold it when you die.
And it could be used on other people in the show, so maybe if you used it on a pig, they would spit out a random item from that inventory. (Perhaps it can only be used once.)
Of course, we would have to think of other things makeable with bluestone... bluestone torches, that glow brighter the lower the light level? Iron helmet+bluestone = cyberhelmet? Bluestone blocks?

There could be three ways to become a time lord:
1. Kill David Tennant to get a blue suit. Kill Christopher to get a leather jacket, and kill Matt to get a fez. If wearing all at once, and getting killed by a dalek, you regenerate and become a time lord.
2. By creating a fobwatch like so:
= Huon Particles
3. There is a 1/20 chance that David drops a hand. By combining this with a jar and huon particles you can make the DoctorDonna Jar.
And the master could be a rare spawn that shoots at you and drops the laser screwdriver, which you can use. And when you hit him, 10 master-skinned enemies would spawn around him, and they would just punch you. They could pull from a pool of random skins (eg. dresses, tuxedos, hoodies) all with the master's face on them.
I don't what to have to kill the Doctor to fly the TARDIS. It would feel wrong some how...
Nice. Bluestone..never saw it coming. Also, their could be Cyber-metal, a new metal found only on Cybus. I had some ideas...

Cyber Pulse Ray:
Fires a blue laser.
Makes Cybermen ignore you.
If placed on a normal animal (chicken, cow, pig), it will follow you. if you attach it to a wolf, it will instantly be tamed (blue hearts instead of red). If attached on a cyberman, it will explode.

I'm still trying to figure out the FOB watch situation which currently solves the problem of getting a key. I don't think that it will work really well because pretty much they have to have it or have a tardis key until they unlock a tardis door in which case they should have any? It's a little annoying to try and figure out. So i'm looking for a better way to implement it
The Key looks great, i'm not sure about how the dalek is supposed to work. This is the cat person, is it just me or should he be a little more orange?
What do you mean with the tardis key/door/fobwatch? Also, yeah, I think the cat person needs texturing...again...
Jelly babies need to be a rare item, found randomly. 5 different colours. Get them all, you can unlock the Fourth Doctors scarf. BOOM
I think we've established that the TARDIS will be flyable and act as a base. But we need to decide how we are going to arrange the locations and goals. The usual goal for Minecraft is survive. As this mod essentially makes this more of an exploration/ adventure game, (seeing as that fits with the fact the Doctor has survived 900 years of Time travel)we should probably consider how you start, and how you would essentially 'Complete' the tasks (I say 'Complete' because we may update with additional items/ tasks/ mobs and all that jazz. Ideas? Lets get working on a deffinitive list! :smile.gif:
Well the goal is to get the Tardis key. Currently the idea is to have a fobwatch that will unlock, like I can get it to do that unlock at a certain time but i'm not sure about actually giving it to the player in the first place, or always keeping it in the player's inventory.
Well it makes sense to spawn them the fobwatch, right? And we don't want them to be unable to unlock their TARDIS because they died. Honestly, I think that the TARDIS key should replace the fobwatch. Also, are we still going to try to make regeneration only possible after fobwatch-opening?
That's what I'm saying I don't think I can do that.
hmm... you mean you can't replace the watch with the key, or unlock regeneration? either way is fine, but maybe you can get rid of the watch after you've gotten the key.
Meaning I can't give them back the item, or give them a new one when they die without editing the dieing class. It's just a lot of what ifs. What if they drop the watch? What if it's in a chest when they die? And I was trying to get it to not drop but that seems to be pretty much impossible as well. Giving them the watch in the first place is hard too.
okay. And I assume editing the dying class is when sh*t gets real?
Well i'd rather have a mod that uses modloader then edits other classes, that way I can add any other mod I want without a problem.
