Do you have any particular dates set in mind for the time of the Wastelands explosion / nuclear meltdown? I want to know so I can write stories more like history books and less like narratives. If you want originality, however, I can use trusty Google to do some research and create a somewhat accurate calendar for the Wastelands world, structured the same way as our own, just with everything renamed and fictional planets in the universe (with a fictional sun, and moon, and larger diameter of "Earth" ((Minecraftia)) meaning longer days/years).
You should post stuff related to lore in the Lore thread.
The Apocalypse should be around 2750-3250.
Technology then should be very advanced, but not too advanced to the point where we are all immortals and whatever.
The Wastelands should happen roughly 3-6 months after that.
First off, 3-6 months is an unrealistically short amount of time for a location to be in any way inhabitable after a nuclear fallout of any kind. It would be more like 3-6 decades at least before anyone could live there. Also, in regards to the technological advancement etc, it wouldn't be overly nexessary to have advanced technology, we could just credit it all to the most advanced group or race at the time. Concerning the lore thread, I did post on the lore thread about 3-7 days ago and haven't recieved a reply, which is why I posted here.
I also wanted to ask Beu in case he wanted a different time system to gain some originality in that respect.
1)Hell Bringer
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Guns, Artillery, and other Ranged Projectiles
Description: The Hell Bringer isn't your usual flame thrower. Using complicated advanced technology, this weapon of mass destruction can intensify the power of the fire, causing the fire to be able to travel further, wider, and cause more damage. The Hell Bringer comes with a scope, but trust me, you wouldn't need to use it to smote your enemies to death.
Images:
2)Lite-Sniper
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Guns, Artillery, and other Ranged Projectiles
Description: It isn't as good as the Long Shot, but this gun is quite well worth what you paid for it. With a far range, high damage, and bullet speed as fast as light, you can easily snipe down your enemies from a safe distance.
Images:
3)Stun Gun
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Guns, Artillery, and other Ranged Projectiles
Description: By using a high power lens, this laser gun has the ability to shoot out a ultra-bright laser, that both damages, and temporarily blinds its enemies. This allows the user escape, or kill the enemy, while they are blinded, and can't see what's happening.
Images:
4)Cold Blooded
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Guns, Artillery, and other Ranged Projectiles
Description: We are all familiar with flame throwers, but this is one weapon that does quite the opposite from the Fire Breather we're familiar with. By using complex mechanics and machinery, the Cold Blooded can create a cold blue flame, which burns constantly at -100 degrees Celsius. Then the gun can expel a high pressured spray of alcohol, which gets ignited with the cold blue flame, and instantly freezes enemies upon contact.

You're giving really good gun ideas, plus you did work to make a texture for it. Very nice.
We've done some work on the Flamebreather and some pretty good progress was made. It now shoots "fire" and sets things on fire. The only issues are right now is that it fires a bit oddly (which will be difficult to fix) and it doesn't set entities on fire (which will be very easy to fix). So as of now we are moving the Flamebreather's progress to 75% (from 50).
The present fuel source for the Flamebreather right now is "oil," which will generate much like lava pools on the surface and middle of the earth (like pockets) except the pockets in the middle of the earth will generate full of oil instead of halfway and the oil pools will be rarer.
The good thing about working with the Flamebreather is that the bug with fire bullets deleting blocks and replacing them with fire blocks has been solved, so that's a plus.
All custom tools are now appropriately working in the Wastelands.
There is a bug with portals that I'm reluctant to share but it would essentially allow for infinite Oombra Ferrum. The same exploit works for obsidian portals as well, that's all I want to say.
I'm sorry guys, I haven't been on for quite a long while. I have had other things with school/life that I have had to attend to.
I'm no longer on the development team (except for my contributions to the gun art and the lead suit and such) but I look forward to seeing this killer mod developed in the future.
So... for a second time... I am back :biggrin.gif:

Well the only thing we would need you to do is draw concepts for mobs which won't really be requested often, do you still wish to leave the team?
I have a texture for Cane Tail Alcohol here (16x16):
More suggestions:
1)Dragon Booze
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Flame Breather Liquids and Gases
Description: The big brother of all flame breather fuel, Dragon Booze is a brew that takes a long time, and a lot of rare ingredients to create. However, it is well worth it. This brew can last a long time, and, when used with the flame breather, can create deadly flames, that can reach further distances, and does way more damage.
Images:
2)Tesla Terror
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Guns, Artillery, and other Ranged Projectiles
Description: Ever wanted to be able to swat you enemies like flies? Now you can with this nice bug zapper, which uses a Tesla coil and a ion battery to create high voltage lightning bolts that not only shock the life out of your enemies, but the lightning bolt also homes onto your enemies, and can zap multiple enemies at a time, as long as they are witin an invisible inverted cone area (static field?) in front the gun.
Images:
3)Grenade
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Explosives
Description: The first throw-able explosive that doesn't use Uranium! HUZA! This is one of the favorite war devices you will ever use. Also, this nice little guy can teach you a valuable life lesson, that giving is SOOOOO better than receiving.
Images:
4)Gatling Gun
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Others (?)
Description: One really simple device. Plop it on the floor, right click to get on, kill your enemies with a stampede of bullets. The Gatling gun takes up 2x2x2 space, but you need it in a 3 tall space, or you will suffocate :tongue.gif:. Has around 50 block range.
Images: -- Unpacked and unusable, -- Packed and ready to be set down and used.
5)Sentry Gun
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Others
Description: By crafting a heat/proximity sensor and a CPU to a Gatling gun, the Sentry Gun will be able to home onto units, and shoot them down with ease. Has a range of around 15 blocks. However, it will shoot you when you enter its range, unless you have a frequency shield.
6)Remote Control
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Explosives
Description: Used to detonate Trigger Stickies. Aim at it, right click, and BOOM. right clicking a block will cause all trigger stickies in a 3x3x3 box, centered at the block clicked. Explosions will also trigger Trigger Stickies.
Image:
7)Frequency Shield
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Others
Description: Carrying one of these will allow you to bypass sentry guns that you have placed. Giving one of these to another player will allow them to bypass your sentry guns too. Simply put, it allows you to bypass sentry guns placed by the original creator of the Frequency Shield.
Images:
8)Wrench
Group: Utilities
Subgroup: Tools
Description: The wrench can be used to repair and safely dismantle vehicles and other war machines. Holding right click will repair the machine, but consumes the wrenches durability. It repairs at the rate of 2 hearts per second. Holding left click will cause you to dismantle the machine, but consumes durability. Dismantles at 2 hearts per second.
Images:
1) Deadwood Trees
Group: Wasteland Vegetation
Subgroup: Trees
Description: Deadwood trees are the only type of tree that inhabits the wasteland. As the name says, deadwood is dead, so its fragile, brittle, and isn't the best type of wood to use. Deadwood trees are basically big trees, but has only a few leaf blocks attached to it. These leaf blocks drop 4-2 Dead Leaves (item), and can be harvested in block form via sheers. Dead Leaf (Item) can be used as a brewing ingredient. Deadwood leaf blocks don't drop saplings, but any type of sapling grown there will grow a deadwood tree (wood is nonrenewable in the Wastelands, HA!).

2) Nuke Bloom
Group: Wasteland Vegetation
Subgroup: Flowering Plants
Description: They're cute, pretty, and radioactive! Nuke Blooms naturally spawns in radioactive zones, and mostly corrugate around the hot-spot. Nuke Blooms can be placed on any grass/dirt block in the wastelands (it will be destroyed if you try playing it in the Overworld), but must be in a radioactive area to multiply. The more radioactive, the faster it multiplies. Nuke Blooms aren't poisonous to touch, but it will be hard trying to multiply them, while avoiding from dying from radiation. The flower of the Nuke Bloom stores high concentrations of radioactive substances, that could be harnessed to power nuclear bombs and weapons. But why is this plant dependent on radiation? Could it be able to convert radiation energy into neutral, safe energy? Hmmm...
Images:
3) Smoke Sprout
Group: Wasteland Vegetation
Subgroup: Non-Flowering Plants
Description: Smoke Sprout is the name of the plant, and Smoke Leaf is the name of the leaf (duhh). Fully matured Smoke Sprouts release smoke particles, and when destroyed, will drop 4-1 Smoke Leaves, and will drop 1 Smoke Sapling, a has a 10% chance to drop a second sapling. Smoke Sprouts have a 4 stage growth cycle, and has a chance of dropping 1-2 Smoke Leaves if destroyed before maturity. However, destroying it before maturity will not drop any saplings (which is very bad because you only have a 10% chance of getting a second sapling when harvesting mature plants, making it slow and hard to multiply them). Smoke Leaves are a basic ingredient for many brewing recipes. The smoke sprout CAN be grown on the Overworld. It CANNOT be grown in radioactive areas.

4) Smoke Grenade
Group: Weapons
Subgroup: Others (?)
Description: Crafted from smoke leaves, you can right click while holding this to throw it. It flies at the same physics as a snowball. When it hits the ground, it will break, and release a smoke screen, which will blur vision by around 75%, and will slightly slow you down. The smoke screen will last around 10-20 seconds, enough time for you to run away, or grab a rocket launcher to blast your blinded enemies.
Images:
5) Cane Tail
Group: Wasteland Vegetation
Subgroup: Water-Side Plants
Description: Cane Tails one of the few plants native to the wastelands. Cane Tails can only grow near water, and cannot grow in radioactive areas. A mature Cane Tail comprises mainly of a Spiny Brown fruit, and a strong, thin cane. If you run into a mature Cane Tail, you will take half a hearts damage for each second you spend in it (like a cactus), but it will not destroy items, and will not slow you down, unlike Barbed or razor Wire. The Cane tails have 8 stages in its growth cycle, and when mature, they drop a Cane Tail Fruit, and a Cane. If destroyed premature, it will not drop anything. A Cane Tail fruit can either be broken down via crafting into Cane Tail Seeds, or used in the crafting recipes of barbed and razor wire. The multipurpose cane can be used for various things, ranging from tool handles to weapons. Cane Tail seeds can be planted into a grass or dirt block near water, where it will grow, or used as a brewing ingredient, or maybe even used in food!

I understand this is a huge undertaking, but what about randomly generated bits of highway, and I would prefer no snow/snowy tundra biomes to be generated. It would improve the "wastelandy" feel.
okay listen I'm not sure if you're trying to make you're own wastelands feeling but you should have no snow/forest biomes in the whole game, you should have a deserty dry wasted feeling to it with very very few trees around the area, also what would be cool like he mentioned above me would be highways that are crumpled up generated and swamps with very few trees and radioactive water in it (darkish murky colored). I'm not sure on how to mod but if you could make the player spawn in a vault every time a new world is created it would just add to the feeling, here are some ideas for some items since its in the wastelands you need new items that are made by crafty people :tongue.gif:.For whatever you will n.ame youre wood you have to have a new door design for it that will be crumpled up and kinda look bad,for an iron door make it look like a vault door I guess... but for the glass texture make it be very dusty and cracked up which would look nice :/ thats really all i could brainstorm for now.

I support this idea. Maybe not only randomly generated highway, but also something like this?
Something random like the would be pretty cool, for like, the outskirts of a city or something. Or maybe inside the city.
Hope you like them!
