Please feel free to! I always like to see people's opinions on the mod, and videos are very helpful to show people how the mod works, too!
EDIT: Oh for fu-
1.9 is apparently getting a release today.
If it does, then I'm afraid I most likely can't update. I certainly can't switch to Forge yet, I don't have the time.
If it adds more than 11 new sprite indices, Steamcraft will have to stay in 1.8.1 until I have the time to work on it. It may have to stay anyway.
In my personal opinion, Minecraft updates far too frequently. They should spend more time testing the game thoroughly and ironing out the bugs, then there wouldn't have needed to be a two-part adventure update, and there wouldn't have needed to be 1.6.6, or 1.7.3, or 1.8.1, just the original releases. It makes it very hard for us, as modders, to deal with.
Okay, it seems it was just a pre-release. The obfuscation has changed, too, so I can't update the mod. I probably won't until the full version of 1.9, anyway, and maybe not even then, depending on my schedule.

Please continue this mod! This is the only one I've liked so far!
That said, I really think this is a great mod. The new lamps are a little awkward for me to get used to, but it's really put new life into Minecraft for me. I feel compelled to play and explore again. Also, I luff using the DokiDoki pak w/ it, it's so much fun! Please keep this mod going though, Proloe, I'd really love to keep using it ^^
yay npcs in the update! not sure if they'll be too useful. x3 and I wish I could help but I haven't dabbles in java coding so not sure if I could be of any use. .w.
1.9 Pre-Release was released on Jeb's Twitter feed.
According to videos, 1.9 adds nether dungeon-things, are you still going to go ahead with your own implementation, and stuff to it, or do nothing with it?
I haven't actually looked at 1.9, yet, and probably won't until the full release. I do still plan to add my own Nether dungeons, though, because my plans are better than those added in 1.9. :biggrin.gif:
I can't update to 1.9 yet, and to be honest, I'm not sure I'll have time to. I may have to wait for the full release.
Personally, I don't really like the look of 1.9 anyway. I mean, mooshrooms were a stupid idea.
I have to agree with you on the look of 1.9, did you see these village NPCs? They're crappy looking, and they seem to follow the same pathing any other mob would, stepping all over crops and such, and being stuck in their own homes! If this is what Minecraft is coming to, I think sticking with a 1.8.1 Steamcraft seems a much better option, especially since all it takes to have villagers is a simple Millenaire installation, and those NPCs work and look right! xD
I really hope I don't have to drop this mod. Some friends of mine have an MC server that updates on a pretty regular basis, so I'll either have to drop SteamCraft or drop their server (Nuuu!!! These decisions are too hard!) Ultimately what you need, Proloe is an assistant to help w/ coding and things like that.
On a related note; yippee! The new version of DokiDoki came out!
What I suggest you do is back up your minecraft.jar. That way, you can save a 1.8 copy with Steamcraft, and a 1.9 vanilla one. Then you can switch out the jars depending on if you are playing SMP or SSP.

Hopefully I can continue updating this at university.
I'm going to update the DokiDoki pack soon, with the new textures, hopefully.
I can't wait for the next update ^^
Go to your .minecraft folder and find ModLoader.txt, then paste it here, preferably inside spoiler tags:
