Its finally out. Thank the lord. but wait. NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO its a rar file I dont have win rar. is there anyway someone can make it a zip file
i only just spotted this Mod, but i have a suggestion, and i have had it on my mind for a long time, try making a torch.lamp like item, that hangs from the cealing, you can place torches on the ground and walls, but the sealing should look better, this may be expansive but maybe you could use something in the area of this

or

please respond if you have in mind using it, it would be an awsome atribute to more decorative mincrafters like yourself, with ur metal tree =3

Or a chandelier:

It would have six candles on and could light up as well as lava. Cool huh
hey, I really love the SteamCraft pack you made, and I really think for your first mod, you did a very good job, but do you know if its possible to make an INVEdit for this? I noticed that ToomanyItems is not compatible with this, and the regular INVEdit is compatible, but does not have the SteamCraft Items. I was wondering if you would like me to make folder with the files you need to put into the INVEdit folder to make it work with steamcraft. If I do, all I want is a little credit. PM me if you want it.
Thanks,
HEROBR1N3
I actually use a modified version of INVEdit for testing purposes! It's not very well put together, but it gets the job done. It's reasonably easy to edit as long as you know the IDs of the items and blocks. I'll probably release a list of those at some point.
Added a .zip alternative download, for those of you who can't get WinRAR.
I also really like the idea of the chandelier. It had crossed my mind to have a torch item that can be hung from the ceiling. I may well include something like that.
Also, just so you guys know, iPixeli's Female Mod is compatible.
ATTENTION: IF YOU PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED THE 1.5_01 VERSION OF STEAMCRAFT, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU RE-DOWNLOAD AND RE-INSTALL IT.
I found a rather serious bug with the Nuclear Reactors. It seems I missed out a line of code when updating it, and using Nuclear Reactors will convert them into a normal Furnace, and the game will crash if you attempt to use them. I believe I have fixed this and altered the download link to the fixed version.
- Not compatible with modloader (I know, it's only an alpha, but it makes me cry lol)
Depending on how this go, I may or may not fix this. If this gets large enough, it may be best to leave it as a standalone mod like AdventureCraft, rather than treating it as just a small addition.

- Default Minecraft materials are dropping much more Ore, this is rather game unbalancing imo, I got quite a few Diamonds rather quickly. Don't mind this on Coal though
I put this on Coal simply because a lot more of the recipes require smelting to make the new items, so Coal is far easier to get. I see your point about Diamond, however, and may revert it, or if not, make it far rarer to get more than one.

- How rare are Volucite blocks in relation to Diamond? I found quite a few before I found diamonds and I want to jump for joy when I find some. OMGOMGOMG No more tools breaking!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! <--- me jumping for joy. I may have just gotten lucky though and of course I can't get them until I have diamonds for getting obsidian.
Technically, Volucite is just as rare as Diamond, however, they appear in smaller veins (usually only as single blocks), and only on half as many levels (though I may extend that, since I believe it MIGHT be causing them to cluster).
anyway, you should make a little layout of changes/uses, crafting templates, if you've already done that, plz. tell where xD, becouse so far i have not found any use for Sulphur
All the recipes can be found in the download in a file called RECIPES.png. Sulphur can be used to craft Glowstone and Gunpowder, but it's primary use is as a fuel for Chemical Furnaces.
Hey Proloe how do I get the texture pack on page 6 ? i don't see a link or any additional info ... is it the normal Glimmar pack or ... ?
It's not released yet. I have a few modifications to make, plus I need to actually ask Glimmar's permission to redistribute it.

Also wold you mind changing in a future update the pink background in the recipes pic, its kinda eye straining ... unless its there for a reason in wich case nevermind.
Well, the only reason it's really there is so you can see items like glass against it. I chose the background colour of the terrain.png file. I could always make it less saturated if need be.

And THANK YOU for giving sulphur an use <3
There'd hardly be much point in having it if it didn't have a use ;D
you can probably change the center block into an powering item, (quartz perhaps), it would support the idia of a real drill
I want to keep away from power tools (besides the Steam ones). The idea of the Drill was to make it similar in design to a hand drill with a crank handle.

whats the real diffrence between normal Swords, and the steam sword (and other steam tools), i think i noticed that it hits faster.
Steam tools are basically the same as normal ones, but with different recipes and stats. I may, in a later version, make them the most powerful tools, but be reasonably weak.

Automated mining drill/machine/thing
I'm going to just go all out there and say no. I don't want to make this too industrial. I want to keep the feel of good, old-fashioned Minecraft without anything getting too complicated.

You need winRAR or an equivalent program that can open .jar files.
Try this.

Not a bad suggestion. I might look into it. The one you've put down isn't perfect, but I think it can be tweaked a little.
