WOOO! I can't wait to use those Tesla coils. If you can't tell from my username, I do so enjoy electricity.
Oh, and I picked up the banner. After all, this is basically my favorite mod. I haven't found anything else remotely as fun. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, the Tesla Coils are really great for compacting circuitry, especially upwards. The only direction they won't go is down, but I think that will be fixed by the floodgates and water wheels.
This looks pretty darn interesting, but I must admit the installation kind of confuses me. What files are needed of the 3 packets in the op? What is the order? I guess no modloader yet?
I tried a little bit, all I could achieve was minecraft not going past the loading screen before the logo
I'm sorry, could you explain a little bit what I need to do?
You only need one of the packets. If you're using Minecraft version 1.4_01, then you need that version. The other two both work for version 1.4, but are just mirrors of each other. This does not use ModLoader yet.
Is this compatibile with PlasmaCraft and PlastiCraft?
Anyways, love your mod :smile.gif:
But I cannot activate lamps with redstone torch and batteries :/ when I place a wire by the battery it doesn't light up ;/
Any suggestions?
ps how do you craft the tesla coil receiver?
You shouldn't be able to craft batteries yet. The version you have has a battery programmed in that doesn't work, but cannot be crafted. Same for the Tesla Coil. The receiver is not programmed in at all.
Now, question. Does the electric lamp light up in the released 1.4_01 version? I've tried to connect it to copper/redstone cable in many ways, and couldn't get it to light up
Keep up the great work. Damn I love steampunk
The light does work. It requires powered wire to be on top of the block it is attached to, or powering directly into it, by which I mean the cable providing power must be straight into the block, with no corners or forks.
One comment. Considering the vast amount of work needed to get something as simple as "redstone" torches, I find relatively easy to get a full set of the uber gems tools. One little advice on that, make it so the gem has to be worked and processed using some steam machines. I love the look of the steam powered tools, and I would like them to be more useful rather than a tool to have to get to the gem one.
I'm making other materials far more common, so don't worry about that. Thanks for the suggestion about processing Etherium, though. I might do that. Etherium will also appear in smaller veins to make it harder to get, too.

Also, any chance the steam machinery taking up more than one block? When I figure a steam engine, I figure it big and bulky
I don't think so. It's an awkward thing to achieve, especially for a furnace. I might be able to do it for some things later, but the furnace has to stay, at least for now.
Do you have any idea when you'll start? With 1.5 and all...
Robot pets shouldn't be too far away. I want to get a few more of the basics done, then I'll start work on them. They'll take quite a while, especially considering what I have planned for them.

Because it's such a large mod, a lot of other mods will be incompatible.
At the moment it doesn't use ModLoader, and I'm not sure if it will work if you have ModLoader installed. It might, but I can't be sure.

Wow, thanks so much for your support here. I wasn't expecting this to take off so quickly.
You could have backed it up. I'll put credit, though.
There will probably be a short delay, but I'll get it out as soon as possible.

See the first post again.
No. I can't. I need to wait for Minecraft Coder Pack to update so I can deobfuscate the source code.
From their site, the update could be anywhere from tomorrow to a week from now.
The good news is that when I update to 1.5, I'll also include all the new content mentioned in the updates!
Sorry, I just saw them in the planned features section. Do you have any idea when you'll start? With 1.5 and all...
Miles likes robots + Miles likes pets = Miles LOVES robot pets!

I am going to make a 1.5 version, but it is dependent on the Minecraft Coder Pack updating first.

You think so? I'm a big fan of the Aether project, it looks fantastic.
I have the new version ready and working for 1.4_01, but I want to release it together with the 1.5 version.
