Hey not to be a bother but I can’t seem to find the chemical or nuclear furnace on the wiki. By the way your mod is amazing and I hope you continue to do good work: D
Wish there was more than a mere picture in regards to making the Core Drill. I like the idea of secrets but it's also no fun at the same time when the secret could be a hundred thousand different possibilities, more so with the fact that there is a Base and then there is the Drill itself. Picture of it isn't very intuitive by the way, the base material is pretty vague except the Etherium crystal in the center. Then there is the question of what the drill itself is made of, greenish-yellow could mean so many thinks from Phosphorous to Uranite.
Desperately want to try out this item as it's the last one in Steamcraft that I haven't played around with, but I can't and it's bugging me like no other. Might be about to to take apart the files and find it out that way. :sad.gif:

That's because I haven't written the article yet. Be patient because I have to take all those itty bitty sprites in the mod and enlarge them.
I don't claim to understand the workings of Bukkit. But is it possible to implement a Steamcraft plugin? Myself and my friends would love to use such a mod ine server, but we're uncertain whether it's possible without a specially designed plugin for it. Or can we simply edit out the .jar file associated with the server client similarly to how it's done with single-player?
Assuming that all players that will be using said server have Steamcraft installed normally, so the essential player-side files are present.
Hey, I have a question, how do you activate the Glimmar pack? I know you have a tutorial in you config folder, but it's vague, confusing and uses "mod terms" that I'm not familiar with. Is there a way to simplify this? because I did what it said (At least, I did what I THINK it said) and I get black screen of death. Sorry if I'm just being stupid, but my brain exploded when I read the tutorial. =/

1a. Press the 'Windows' key (found in the bottom left of your keyboard) and the 'R' key simultaneously to start up the 'Run' program.
1b. Press the 'Start' button in the bottom right corner of your screen, and in the Search function type 'Run' which should locate the 'Run' program, click it to run it.
2. Type %appdata% into the 'Run' program.
3. This should bring up a folder with many more folder/files inside, you want to open the '.minecraft' folder.
4. Drag and drop Glimmer's texture pack (be sure to keep it as a .zip file) into the 'texturepacks' folder.
5. Download the MCPatcher here and move that to wherever you like.
6. Run the mcpatcher.exe file, it should bring up an interface with such listings like 'Better Grass', but the one you want specifically is the 'HD Texture' mod, so be sure to have that checked. (I recommend using Better Grass though, looks vety nice)
7. Once you have your selected mods, press the 'Patch' button at the bottom.
8. Run Minecraft and go into the 'Mods and Textures Packs' and select Glimmer's pack.
9. And viola, you 'should' have a working HD texture pack!

Hope that helps. :smile.gif:
That's not quite right. In Glimmar's thread, there is a section for the Glimmar Pack in the first post. You need to download that.
That comes with a version of the texture pack, and the Steamcraft textures. You need to put the texture pack in the texturepacks folder, and the other folder in your minecraft.jar. When that is done, you need to go into the Steamcraft folder in your .minecraft, open up config.txt, and change the line:
Only if you install ModLoader after Steamcraft, I believe. Reinstall Steamcraft and see what happens.
Ah, yeah, whoops, messed that up cause Modloader had an update for 1.6.6, this didn't (I use a batch file to mod minecraft, and just copy everything that needs to go into minecraft.jar into a folder, then run the batch file)
It's not a bug. Bornite is Redstone. It produces a substance that can be made into wires, etc., just as Redstone does. There's no point in getting rid of it. Any Redstone will turn into Bornite in an old save, and vice versa, same with the wires.

Ok, thank you, that makes a LOT more sense. That helped better, thank you, awesome mod by the way. =)
Hello! This looks so fun and Glimmer's texture pack is beautiful. I eagerly want to use it. However I seem to have run into a hiccup. I've only installed ModLoader, followed by SteamCraft + Glimmer Pack. I changed the config to True and ran the HD patcher without incident. However when I started up Minecraft it crashed with the notice that a "diodeidle.png" seems to be missing/not found according to my MCPatcher log.
Hey searching around having a hard time finding an online recipie list before i start the mod, have it loaded up and was just wondering if this is available somewhere?

Otherwise though, loving the mod.
You know, I thought of that when I was out today. Lol

It's also possible that the Glimmar Pack is installed incorrectly.
