Well, no. That will come a little later, when I have a little more content. I don't want to be updating 2 versions constantly just yet. I'm not sure if it even breaks if you have ModLoader installed, it just doesn't use it. Even if it did though, it's still possible to install it by getting a fresh copy of the jar.

Looks good!
As a supporter (and researcher) or steamboats and their history, and of steam transportation in general, i hope this mod introduces steamboats and other forms of steam transportation using boilers (and for steamboats paddlewheels)
That's the plan. Although how accurate they will be is very much unknown XD

If you ever want help/info about how colonial steamboats worked (i know most about those in american rivers), types of steamboats, parts of a steamboat, how they were built, hazards, etc, feel free to ask me! I have done lots of researching (looking through boat logs, reading newspaper articles from the early 19th century written by former boat captains, etc), and would be happy to help make this mod as accurate as possible! (while still keeping it minecraft-ish of course!)
Maybe you should make white phosphorous and make it crafted into the mortar. It sends out like 10 TNT 3 times. I would love that! And is this compatible with IndustrialCraft?

i can't use it til its modloader compatible, as most people. it looks great
You can always back up your minecraft.jar and then start with a fresh one. This is one of the reasons I'm not making a ModLoader version yet.

Well, this is supposed to represent white phosphorus, as that is the kind that spontaneously combusts in air with a green flame. TNT is damaging enough. There is no need for more powerful explosives. I don't know if this is compatible with IndustrialCraft, but I would have to say it would be pretty pointless, as some of the ores in this are also in IndustralCraft, and it would just confuse things.

can you make a video showing how everything works because i can figure out how to make the lamps work :S Please help me
Electric Lamps work in the same way as Redstone Torches, only backwards. If they receive power from Redstone (or Copper Wire, as it's known in this mod), they will light up.
To be honest it is a good mod besides the fact you plan to add guns, and have a power drill. To high tech for me. The only reason I like the light bulbs is because you can turn then on/off.

The drills are not meant to be powered. With the exception of the Steam Drill, they were all designed to resemble the hand-drills seen .
The guns I have in mind may not be what you think either. The guns are not SMGs or Glocks, but flintlock rifles and pistols, possibly extending to a clockwork lock. This type of weapon was in use around 500 years ago, so it's not really high tech in any way. Certainly no more technological than TNT.
It seems to me that light bulbs (and by extension lamps) are incredibly expensive for what you get out of it, would you ever consider making them less so (by crafting more per iron ingot or something)?

I tried to counteract that by making iron much more common. It clearly hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped. I may change it so that it produces 4 Light Bulbs instead of just 1.

I'd prefer to keep away from such game-breaking stuff. I have many uses in mine or Etherium, don't you worry.

Also, updated with a small support banner!
Did you load it up into a previous world? The new ores will only generate in a new world.
Do you have any other mods installed? If any other mods edit the chunk generation, it could conflict.
I don't have any other mods installed now. I removed them, but that still probably conflicted and messed stuff up.
It's best to start with a fresh minecraft.jar for this mod, as it is at the moment.
That's what I meant when I said a new world. You need a new save, because otherwise the ores won't generate.
I know. I know. I've already started over. Just started smelting my first batch of iron ore and I think I found some of the new ore.
