Not a bad suggestion. I might look into it. The one you've put down isn't perfect, but I think it can be tweaked a little.
you can probably change the center block into an powering item, (quartz perhaps), it would support the idia of a real drill, + whats the real diffrence between normal Swords, and the steam sword (and other steam tools), i think i noticed that it hits faster.

It seems that with Single Player Commands v2.8_2 you can't use as in open the interface of the "custom" furnices, other than that they both seem to work fine :|
Sounds like the class file containing TileEntity is used in both. If you install SPC first, the furnaces should work, but you should lose some functionality in SPC.
ATTENTION: IF YOU PREVIOUSLY DOWNLOADED THE 1.5_01 VERSION OF STEAMCRAFT, IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU RE-DOWNLOAD AND RE-INSTALL IT.
I found a rather serious bug with the Nuclear Reactors. It seems I missed out a line of code when updating it, and using Nuclear Reactors will convert them into a normal Furnace, and the game will crash if you attempt to use them. I believe I have fixed this and altered the download link to the fixed version.

This mod I think might just be my favorite mod, I havent been able to craft anything yet but I generated a new world and have already encountered several of the new blocks. to you OP ^___^

It shows you in the Recipes.png file. You need Uranium Pellets, which are gained by smelting Uranite into Uranium, and then crafting Uranium.

It does all of that, don't worry.
You could use an external editor. I can't just "make" mods compatible, it takes a lot of effort, usually on both parts.
I could, but it would require a lot of block IDs, and I'd rather keep them for something more functional.
That's a secret "Easter Egg" item. It's not a tool, and shouldn't be used like a regular drill. If you have one, try right-clicking.
I'm fairly sure on this one, I'd have to differ to the author but I believe the core drill allows you to HEAVENS.
