[*:wlp9pt1b]Fixed a bug where people were falling through the floor and/or getting stuck inside blocks when being moved onto the bed.
[*:wlp9pt1b]Fixed a bug where removing blocks under the bed allowed people who fell through to sleep under the bed.
[*:wlp9pt1b]Fixed a bug where hurt/death sounds did not play for damage taken while sleeping.
[*:wlp9pt1b]Only sets spawn point if there is room above the bed to spawn. Warns if spawn point was not set.
[*:wlp9pt1b]Adjusted dawn/dusk times so you wake during the transition.
Just registered to say this mod is tops. Keep up the good work!
Only suggestions I have:
1) I miss the old "eyes slowly closing" implementation with the original beds. I usually make my bedrooms facing the window so I get a nice glimpse of the outside view before dozing off to sleep. Maybe after clicking "yes" to sleeping to dawn, you can add in that effect in again before loading the world? Not a big deal really though.
2) The loading screen background while sleeping is a bit dull. It loads in about 20 seconds on my computer, but others it can take quite a bit longer. Maybe add a picture of a bed, and some time lapse animation of the sun>moon or something while loading?
3) Really liking the "bed as spawn point" mechanic. Glad to see it'll probably be added officially in the next official build.

Beds act as spawn points, world time passes while sleeping!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it!
1. I wasn't a fan of the fade effect. When I use this mod, I'm usually in a hurry to test something. I know I'm about to wait on a progress bar, so the idea of having to wait on a screen transition too just bothers me. I'll add it to the To-Do list, but I'll probably only implement it if I can make it optional.
2. The "sleep" loading screen background is the same background used for other menus and loading screens. There are plans to synergize with the Clock item. I haven't decided exactly what form this will take yet, but it will involve a dynamic graphical effect on the "sleep" loading screen based on the time of day. Maybe just a huge clock, but it will be something.
3. I think the toughest thing about adding custom spawn points to the base game is multiplayer support, since it uses a single spawn area for all players. If I ever do get multiplayer support in this mod, that part probably won't work.

Maybe you could have CJB's Day/Time Counter appear during sleeping, that could be a temporary "fix" until you find out what to do.
I love this mod, it takes a minute or so on my computer but its worth it, my only complaint is it seems to conflict with the HD texture patcher. The game shut down immediately after clicking a bed before i removed that. I prefer this over having HD textures but I wish I could have both. If it matters i was using a 32x32 texture pack.

I'm probably doing something wrong, but once I installed this mod, I can't use any beds. I'm using ModLoader v5 with no mods installed except for this one. Can anyone help me understand what I'm doing wrong?
Anyway, for praise: This mod decides whether or not i use other mods. If this mod doesn't work with others, nuts to that. I can't imagine trees not growing and having to wait for the ores to smelt. And even though somebody else did the save beds, i'm glad YOU did it.
If anybody out there installs ONE mod. I'd urge them to use this one. Makes minecraft less of a pain in the ass.
Possibly having an isolated issue, but it seems that when I sleep with somnia, any of the things/pets I have that aren't supposed to despawn vanish on me. Is this expected behavior, or am I just lucky?

What mods do the pets come from, I use Mo'creatures and my unicorn hasn't despawned after many nights, and keep in mind they may just be wondering off in the night if they aren't kept in a room or something.

It's Mo'creatures and the fairy mod. I had the fairy in my house and a fully tamed pig in a pen. I'll keep an eye on it; good to know it's me and not the mod :biggrin.gif: thanks!

Under the "%appdata%\.minecraft" directory, there should be a "ModLoader.txt" file. It's the log file for ModLoader and will hopefully contain the details of any error you encountered. Can you post the contents of this file?

If you do find other mods that conflict with this one, please let me know. I tried my best to minimize this mod's footprint and maximize compatibility with other mods, but some improvements may be possible.
It depends on how fast your computer is. The mod basically advances the world while skipping over framerate timing delays and graphics updates. At that point, it's just using brute force.
Sorry for necro, but... Maybe it'll be useful to lower view distance while sleeping? It can give an FPS boost during the simulation, so it'll be done quicker.

sigs are dumb
Yeah, that's a good idea.
Ditto
Thanks for reporting. I will look into this.
kinda glad you did though. that's much clearer.

I second this. especially as the OP has it now. It's perfect, IMO.
Slow... but perfect.
i'm kinda glad it's slow, to be honest... it forces me to actually practice good computer wellness. X3

Rest for you and your avatar. Stand up. Stretch your legs.
Many thanks to everyone for your kind reviews.
