Poseidon's Temple
Desc: A temple flooded in the dark waters.
Hades' Temple
Desc: A temple found in the nether.
Artemis' Temple
Desc: A temple hidden deep in the forests.
Apollo's Temple
Desc: A temple almost shaped like a tower, placed underneath the desert sands (Yes you must dig for it).
Aphrodite's Temple
Desc: A temple located in flat lands, usually has some sort of spa inside.
Demeter's Temple
Desc: A temple also placed in the forest but will have a ton of crops and plants dwelling inside it.
Hermes' Temple
Desc: A temple structured in the Nether which gives out light.

If Enchanted: Usable as a shield that freezes mobs close to you for 5 seconds.

God weapons are like normal weapons in minecraft, with a twist.

Desc: Functions like an arrow which pierces through the target (right-click), only stacks up to 1. *Note that if you miss you cannot pick these back up, meaning it's a 1 shot deal so good luck :wink.gif:
If enchanted: Stacks up to 8.

Desc: A weapon that doesn't do much damage, functions like flint and steel when right-clicked. You may use this as an axe but only works as strong as iron.

Desc: An unlimited source of water and is as strong as an iron shovel.

Desc: Makes the player glide through the sky.

and an idea for an item could be Dionysus' wine. crafted with grapes over a bowl, if you would add grapes as a plant you could grow. and it would let you breath under water for a longer time, but the affects would be temporary.
and for the nymphs, maybe there could be some variety, like
Dryads (forests)
Hydriads (lakes)
Naiads (springs and rivers)
Oceanids (the sea)
Oreads (mountains)
Napaea (valleys)

and hmm, maybe you could wear medusa's head on top like a pumpkin and it makes you turn creatures into stone, but then Medusa's head would have to be VERY rare for this to happen.

hippogriffs are air creatures, a better choice would be the ocean nymph, or hippocampi, which is halfhorse, and half fish, or the hydra suggested above.

btw, cant you make some mirror shield that, when equipped, can see whats behind you? so that you can kill medusa without looking directly at her? since the myth states that any man that looks directly into theeyes of medusa are turned to stone, wheras all things, like mirrors, or reflectable images, do not turn you to stone.

God weapons are like normal weapons in minecraft, with a twist.

Desc: Functions like an arrow which pierces through the target (right-click), only stacks up to 1. *Note that if you miss you cannot pick these back up, meaning it's a 1 shot deal so good luck :wink.gif:

Desc: An unlimited source of water and is as strong as an iron shovel.

Desc: Makes the player glide through the sky.

If enchanted: Stacks up to 16, Weapon becomes increasingly faster.

For Medusa's head:

and hmm, maybe you could wear medusa's head on top like a pumpkin and it makes you turn creatures into stone, but then Medusa's head would have to be VERY rare for this to happen.
Anyways, here are my contributions to the idea.
Cerberus: Spawns in the nether only, 5x your character size, very aggressive at sight.. Only way to calm him down is 10 bones, will not be tamed, just calmed
Demeter: A greek goddess of agriculture, if your crops are going great, and you have 50+ crops growing in one area, Demeter might come and grow them instantly (1 percent chance)
Ruined temples will randomly spawn, let's say 5 percent? Temples would be for a specific god
Let's take
Poseidon for example
Temple would be located underwater, hippogriffs would be the guardians of this temple, and if you beat them, you will be rewared with a trident.
The trident would be able to tame all sea creatures, but it comes with a great curse!
Once a day, you will lose 5/10 of your hearts, and monsters will be attracted to you all of a sudden (this would be true for each temple's treasure)
Anyways take them seriously, or ignore
Also, you should add a hydra.

hippogriffs are air creatures, a better choice would be the ocean nymph, or hippocampi, which is halfhorse, and half fish, or the hydra suggested above.

btw, cant you make some mirror shield that, when equipped, can see whats behind you? so that you can kill medusa without looking directly at her? since the myth states that any man that looks directly into theeyes of medusa are turned to stone, wheras all things, like mirrors, or reflectable images, do not turn you to stone.
