I can't decide on number one, as all four options seem like they require equal attention.
However for number two, that's easy. Make it unlimited. I mean any other option is simply unnecessary/bad. If they never replenish blocks, then the mod's kinda pointless since most structures will take tons of blocks, and unless they start with like a million blocks, they'll run out before doing anything worth-while and just be dead weight. If they mine for resources, they scar the land endlessly ruining the land-scape in their quest to build. If they require players to give them blocks, that's just more busy-work for the player to do, and makes it a little too labor-intensive.
So the best option is to give them unlimited. Well, actually that's wrong. The BEST option is to make it a players choice. Letting the player decide how they want the builders to replenish blocks would be best. Since I'm sure some players would want them to mine, while others would want them to have limited resources, while still others would want to be able to mine for them. But if you HAVE to choose one, I'd suggest just giving them unlimited blocks.
DON'T ANY OF YOU WANT TO CREATE YOUR OWN, PROSPERING TOWN?! NOT JUST LOOK AT SOME MAP GENERATED TOWN?!

I'm so sad. I really want more homeseeker options..
after reading through the 3 pages of posts and such id have to say C and D, having random nutcases wandering around building tons of random buildings with different block types would be cool and have the feel that there are other intelligent beings trying to survive just like you and having them with unlimited resources would make it so you find all sorts of different structures.......and mostly cuz i want to grief the builders...jk hehe.
incredible work though, hands down favorite mod ive stumbled across an amazing idea that you started with and brought to fruition good work, for you =D

The Creator gave me a formidable intellect and excellent verbal skills, if I can use them to make the world a better place I'm glad to. If that means tearing a new hole for some idiot, well, that's just icing on the cake.
Version 0.3 has been added to the main post. Enjoy! If I forgot to include any details about the new stuff, I will be sure to add it to the main post tomorrow.
By the way, thanks for all the input. Here is the current total for both questions:
Question 1:
A - 7 or 8
B - 4
C - 1
D - 1 or 2
Question 2:
A - 0 or 1
B - 8 or 9
C - 1 or 2
D - 3 or 4
Ok, I guess I will work on villages for the next update. Depending on how I implement villages, I may also extend Home Seeker a bit. And based off the answers to Q2, I will eventually make builders mine for or create materials to replenish supplies, though I will probably make builders gain 10-20 blocks for each block mined/created since doing 1 for 1 would probably take an immense amount of time in game.
I actually assumed you guys might pick A for question 1, so I thought about various methods I could try to implement village placement. Here are the methods I came up with:
Biome Generation: Would restrict villages to appearing in only newly explored territory; No chance of griefing player's territory, but requires more travel. The player gets to search for and discover the mysterious villages.
Installed by Player: The player uses an item or some other method to create villages in whatever location he desires. No chance of griefing player's territory(unless the player wants this), but Home Seekers are rendered less useful. No mystery involved in village appearance since player sets up.
Visible Mob: A special Builder mob(like a prospective mayor or something) wanders around until finding a suitable location, and the village is placed at his location. The player would be able to guide the "mayor" to a suitable place if found early enough, but if not, then there is a chance of griefing player's territory. Villages appear mysteriously if the "mayor" is not seen by the player.
Invisible Mob: A special mob that has no texture (and thus is invisible) wanders around until finding a suitable location, and the village is placed at his location. The Player would not know where this special mob is. Very possible chance of griefing the player's territory, but villages appear completely mysteriously with nearly no travel necessary.
If anyone has other possible methods feel free to suggest them.
Also, mind listing the current conversions?
EDIT: Wait, you can only convert homeseekers to builders and a treasurehunter? NOES!
Now I'll have to wait a couple months for resource gatherers, BECAUSE THE PEOPLE ARE TOO SHORTSIGHTED TO SEE HOW BETTER MORE CONVERSIONS ARE THEN NPC VILLAGES. *Sniff*
I would really appreciate if you get the basic resource gatherer conversions in 0.4, then villages in 0.5, please? :3 (Meh. you probally won't. Ihave no command over you, at all.
Could you give them something else then brick? Smoothstone maybe?
Also, you could make some wood-builder, with the tree wood kind of wood, that you get from trees.
i think biome generation and visible mob mayor would be good ideas cuz i got big problems about griefing :tongue.gif: like wat the person above me said, i htink that if mayors could create the town then populate it that would be cool.
nice mod i cant download it cuz im beta but im so lukin forward to the update.
