sure, I'll do a quick recoloring of the crossbow to cover your wooden crossbow idea, and then do a recolor of the Igniter bow so it can match up with your wooden/leather/iron bow idea. (igniter bows should ALWAYS have the same number of uses: 65, before breaking down into the original bow and needing crafted again)
Other than that, most of the stuff you already have looks pretty good.
really? huh, well we wouldnt have had this nice new thread if I did get it right, I actually put more effort into this one :>
2 hours of solid pixel art and editing words to be suitable for these posts :biggrin.gif:
btw guys, dont be afraid to suggest NEW ideas, any ideas that werent added from the first thread are not added because they need more work or just wont work, period.
also, suggestions that rely soley on new items that havent been implemented wont be considered unless they have a really good justification e.g rope arrows, rope isnt added yet but it is almost envitable implementation
(also, my buddy CHuklae is sitting next to me in class watching youtube vids about minecraft :/)
I fixed a misplaced pixel on the igniter, and changed the string color of the crossbow. I'm not sure if it's showing properly. I think in order to see the updated versions, you have to clear out your temporary files or something or wait a few days.
when you add flint and steel to a bow, you get the igniter, which is needed to fire flame and explosive arrows. since the flint and steel only has 65 uses, the igniter will only have 65 uses before it would break and drop a partially used non-igniter bow back into the player's inventory. If a player wants to continue firing flaming arrows or explosive arrows, they'll need to stick another flint and steel back on the bow to continue lighting the arrows as they're fired.

Oh so like to balance the explosive and fire arrows?
Nice I do like that.

yeah, just so that normal bows holding players wont spam explosives in smp, its pretty basic but it probably would be very effective while trying to prevent dynamite or torch arrow griefers

No one noticed my post that includes both new ideas and a change of one of your arrows. You said you wanted more input and I did it on the previous page.

I once saw a chicken push a creeper off of a cliff. I never looked at chickens the same way ever again. That is of course until I needed feathers.

I don't know about composite bows or the scope, but the sticky splinter thing looks good. Very splintery! Creepers with splinters!!!
I need to rebalance xbows because they are causing us some trouble >< dw, I will get onto it
splinter arrows, yeah, your idea is pretty good
also, scopes havent been implemented (telescopes havent, thats what I mean) and the curve on the arrows would make sniping very hard anyway, still idk :biggrin.gif:
if xbows have very slight curves then scopes can be put onto them, thats the compromise Iguess
Other than that, most of the stuff you already have looks pretty good.

but then I must ask, grey what happens to the other arrows? do they require bows?

it is even pushing it to make any arrow tipped with diamond, so thats why I am yet to make one :s

also, when held they wouldnt be held vertically like the bow, it would be horizontally, I am just stating the obvious :tongue.gif:
they are noted to have shorter range and more accuracy, also they fire slower :/
thats all
besides, no one said we were going to make the scope idea >< (however good splinter idea is good)
120 likes in total :> pretty good if I say so myself
(also, if anyone knows some of the ORIGINAL arrow head engineers for like the light arrow and such, tell me)
