Maybe just post any extra sprites you make - eventually you could have versions of items.png for each game, the way this keeps snowballing into more and more items. Or one of us can just compile them all, since arranging the .png is the easy part.
Creeper should be one of the walking bombs from the 2D games. Zombies should be Re-deads, Skeletons should be Stalfos, and Spiders should be Skulltulas.

He might be referring to armos (or bombchus, though they're not bipedal [neither are creepers, technically]).

I think he's referring to the walking time-bomb enemies first seen in.... Level 3 of Link's Awakening. They follow you around and eventually start counting down from 3, after which they explode

There are a number of enemies he could be referring to. He could be referring to Bob-ombs(Yes, from Mario) that are in Link's Awakening and Minish Cap, Real Bombchus from Majora's Mask, Bomblings from Twilight Princess, or the Flare Dancers from Ocarina of Time.
Also, I made this:
It's the Gilded Sword, it's not the best, as I'm not so good at pixel art, but it's good enough for me. I replaced my stone sword with it, and moved the Kokiri Sword to the wood sword slot.
Some zora armour, but I hate it and it will probably go over many changes.
The Zora Armor looks odd. Is it supposed to be odd like that?

What? no, I wasn't drooling over the beautiful armor...
I love it.
And then I realized it makes the rest of the armour look terrible, AND gold is the worst out of all of them.
Oh well, I should work on the player skin for it, now.
I was thinking the magic armor would look nice in place of iron armor.
And, you could use this for diamond armor:

As for gold, idk, gold-colored wear was never really in the Zelda universe (except in melee/brawl). I'd personally keep it default-tunic style.
nonetheless I hope this Will get even more awesome as time goes on!
p.s.I think you should actually use the fierce deity armor as the diamond armor, as it's one of link's ultimate forms.

It's the Twilight Princess Zora Armour, which has lots of little things that are hard to translate into a 16x16 box, if that helps.
That's why it looks odd to me.
