If you are like most people you saw the "Distant Horizons" mod and wanted to try it out for yourself...
unfortunately Distant Horizons suffers from a few issues (despite this its still a really cool mod):
- Takes a long time to generate chunks
- Performance issues
- Your grandchildren discovering your dusty bones next to your computer after finally having finished generating chunks
i think the inverse direction for render distance might be an interesting concept: instead of generating chunks for the distance, why not preserve performance and make the borders of chunk generation look more attractive?
an idea for this might be to have clouds (varying for performance and quality) border your chunk generation, clearing as you get closer. and reforming as you get farther.

Hey i love the idea of this mod however can you make a render distnace mod for downwards like so i can see y= - 60 from y=120 if you could thanks?
