Hey so I have seen quite a few "pixelmon" clones that aren't officially on the marketplace yet is there any way that minecraft itself would help with the idea? I feel it would be a HUGE opportunity especially with parternering with so many other companies this feels like the best action to revive the community. Thoughts?
I mean if people can make datapacks, resource packs with the skins and such sure but the functionality of mods by fans and datapacks/behaviourpack code is very different.
Datapacks/addons and behaviourpacks may have gone further then I last used them but they seem still limited but good enough. I mean seeing the sort of mutant mobs kind of one I was like ok you can do a fair bit with them but if your expecting some functionality to happen it may not be possible but it varies what they are going for and the time.
Mods to datapacks/behaviourpacks conversion isn't likely.
The illusion even can be broken it's so obvious how different the code/assets are then mods being way further ahead but also trickier to make (Fabric probably being easier, Forge was just too difficult to understand). But I'm not a modder just someone that's looked into them briefly.
