This is my first time posting here, I'm making a mod centered around "The Last of US" for about 2 weeks using MCreator(I've already hit brick walls with MCreator and will be moving to Eclipse soon). For the most part, I've been just making mobs and weapons/tools, but I guess my end goal is to make a total conversion mod/pack.
I have some basic Java development skills, enough to get me by at least. As is, I would eventually get though this, but it will be quite difficult.
To get to the title Subjects:
Character Creator
I'm a big fan of JinRyuu's mods, and I'm taking inspiration from DBC and FamilyC for this. For my Character Creator, I want either a button that opens a menu in the Main Menu, or as soon as you load into a world, you're given a GUI that allows you to customize your character and choose your class.
The name section would just be for RP or group management in multiplayer games.
The age section decides which model set you're choosing from for your gender, plus it makes you smaller and maybe faster.
The gender/sex section determines which body models you're choosing from.
The hair section is self explanatory, but maybe I'll use 3D elements for it like JinRyuu did.
The eyes section is self explanatory.
I forgot to include a nose/mouth section.
The body section lets you choose your body shape and skin color.
Natural means you'd be starting off with the base stats of the player in Minecraft, with 0's in Listen mode and TCOU stats.
TLOU would give you options to start from 3 classes
Bandit: Almost no stealth and poor listen mode stats, but higher damage and probably a rifle or shotgun to start off.
Smuggler: Lower damage and health, but high listen mode and stealth stats, probably start with a 9MM pistol and a gas mask.
Military: High Damage and Accuracy, medium listen mode and stealth(I made typos), starts with a revolver.
Model Renderer
This one seems... simple enough. But To accomplish what the CC is supposed to do, I need the game to use the selected models and components over the base 4px or 8px models and the player skin. I've been lucky enough to see the inner workings of JinRyuu's model renderer, but I don't really remember much about it, and I don't want to just steal another persons code straight up, even if they are no longer with us. And while this may seem simple for actually good modders, I'm nearly a beginner, and I'm also dumb.

This one will probably be simple. I just need the classes to modify base game things, and I'll build custom listen mode and stealth mechanics which can be modified client side in a "point system".

I am 121 meters away and approaching quickly
