Hey all. I'm making a homebrew minecraft modpack and have been playing around with it for a while. I don't want to add a bunch of different mobs to minecraft to make it more difficult, as I'd rather keep the simplistic art style and vanilla feel intact.
I have Scaling Health, Champions and Thicc Entities. I use scaling health so that the farther away from enemies you go, and depending on the moon, they get stronger. Champions is for a randomly powerful enemy to show up, although they sometimes feel lackluster. Thicc Entities is what I use to give each mob type a unique variation (spiders are huge and act like mini raid bosses, zombies are slow but high hp tanks, creepers are faster, cave spiders don't hurt but move very fast).
What I'm looking for is mob variation. I think it would be really cool to have each mob gain a slight variation to it's stats when spawned, like a +/- 10% to its damage, view range, size & health (as size and health make sense to scale together). Is there any mod out there that can do this? I've looked all over.
