Recently, I have been developing a modpack with the goal of balance and natural progression through tech, among other things. One thing I sorely miss is a sort of matter replication system, or transmutation system, for late-game content. Sure there is Project E, but it is hopelessly overpowered and based on magic. I would like a matter replication system similar to the one in Matter Overdrive, but unfortunately the devs abandoned that mod, and what's left is a buggy mess filled with extra pointless features.
What I would like in the mod:
1: Some oregen, perhaps tritanium and dilithium (with options to disable by world and oredict them), for use in rather expensive, endgame recipes.
2: A matter analyzing process, with machines and scanners
3: A drive system for storing matter patterns
4: A machine for breaking down items into matter
5: The replicator itself
6: The machines and devices to work with RF (or compatible) power (in configurable amounts, default a LOT of RF required :P)
7: Tooltips for 'Energy-to-Matter (EMC)' values for each item, with mod support (or a way to add items in config/GUI)
8: Whatever creative ideas the new mod dev thinks would go well with the theme (no random/useless features though)!
If someone would be willing to develop such a mod, I would be happy to support them creatively and monetarily, plus however else you might need!
This is an awesome idea! I would love to work on this, although I'm not extremely experienced in modding, I think I could tackle this.
