So i've been struggling my way through a modpack for a while, and am caught on one last thing: A means of replacing the TCon Smeltery with the Stamper and/or the metal press. Why?
1. The Smeltery is ugly, as far as multiblock structures goes. it's just a big static rectangle of blocks, as opposed to the multiblocks found in mods like IE.
2. Tinkers Construct invalidates a lot of the late game tools added by other mods in my pack (such as thaumcraft), since tinker tools are so easy to get.
Sure, I could just gate smeltery bricks behind some late-game resource, but that doesn't really address problem no. 1. I wan tot be able to use some of the really great multiblock machines offered by other mods as a more thematic way of creating tinker tool parts.
I've toyed some with a mod called "tinkering with embers" which creates stamper stamps for tinker parts. but it doesn't have any recipes, and development seem to have been discontinued, so it relies on crafttweaker scripts to manually create recipes for every ore, ingot, dust and other form of each metal in the melter, and then do the same for every tool part with the stamper. So far, i've not had any luck getting those scripts to work correctly for a number of materials added by various mods
Ideally, what I'm looking to pin down is somethign that will automatically add recipies for molten metals to equipment like the melter, and then allow them to be cast or stamped into the correct array of tinker tool parts. Anyone got ideas? Or interested in playing with the project?
