This is my first thread here and I want to offer you that I create a FREE custom Minecraft Block for you ( for Minecraft - Java Edition with Forge (1.12.2)).
I'm currently learning how to make my own Forge Mods, but I have no idea on what I could train my knowledge on (do you say that like this? ;D)
I got the idea from @DanHD, he started such a thread back in 2012.
So, to request a mod, please follow these Guidelines:
- Don't make money with my mod
- Don't say it is yours, give me credit please
- Don't request a complicated, big machine with hundreds of different guis - i'm just a beginner
- Don't expect to have a mod done in just a few hours - i have also different things to do
- Don't expect good looking textures made by me (you can also send me textures made by you)
- If you want to have custom block models, send them to me either in .json or .obj file format.
- Give me the crafting recipe you want to craft the block with.
- Give me the name of the block.
Please note that I don't take any responsibility for crashing your client/server when using my mod, as I'm doin' it free.

LightBlock (request: hiotewdew): Block that changes texture and light level on right click
I don't really want a mod, but here's a challenge I've never quite conquered. This is mostly due to issues with dynamic lighting. Make a block, that when right clicked, will increase light emittance, and when left clicked, will decrease. Hint: you will have to use a Tile Entity! Blocks are "Singletons" which means only one instance of the block is ever made. This means that Block classes CANNOT store data (including a light level!) because it would automatically apply over all the blocks. So you create a tile entity, which is a data storage/ticking class that is unique to a specific block at a specific world location. It can write data to NBT and update every tick (if you implement ITickable). You can access a Tile Entity's data by using World.getTileEntity (or something like that) inside a method within the block class. For example, onBlockRightClicked.
Hope you succeed in what I still cannot figure out.
@hiotewdew I completed the challenge! I learned A LOT! I didn't even need a TileEntity, I did it in the Block class with some blockstates. Please check your private messages/ the first post in this thread for a download link! I added a creative tab, there you should find a block called LightBlock. I didn't implement the left click, but if you right-click 15 times, it will return to 0. The texture even changes dynamically!
@MayusYT Hi My name is ItsDiamondWolf_ and i was wondering if you could make me something that would let me dye a water bucket colored and be able to pour it like water.
So like water turned white becomes a milk texture.

I make Minecraft mods. More info on my website.
That's a good idea! I'm very busy at the moment, I see what I can do.
Add a standalone version of tinker's construct crafting station, it would be really good!
Feranogame
Great idea! I see what I can do but shouldn't be too hard.
That's ok, though. My main goal is to learn how to make those blocks not where to find them on the internet

Just do one with each minecraft dye.
Thanks
Or just a pourable milk bucket would work
That's a good idea! When I'm back from winter vacation I'll see what I can do.
