I'd love to see an Indiana Jones mod, since I've watched the movies and it just seemed so interesting at the time so I decided to come up with the idea for one. There would be several blocks, items, mobs and armor inspired by the characters/equipment, treasures and traps from the movies.
Bullwhip - The iconic weapon of Indiana Jones, made with a stick, two leather, three string and a flint.
Revolver: The only other iconic weapon in Indy's arsenal. First seen in Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, when he shot a swordsman who was a little too much of a showboat.
Made with the grip, chamber and barrel in an upside-down backwards L formation.
X = barrel
Y = chamber
Z = grip
O = nothing
Grip is made with 2 leather on the left and right of an iron ingot.
Barrel is made with 6 iron nuggets on the top and bottom rows.
Chamber is made with 2 iron ingots and 2 iron nuggets.
Bullets are made with 8 iron nuggets surrounding gunpowder.
Hat: Indiana's iconic hat, which he never loses. Craft with 4 leather and two string in a glass pane recipe shape.
Jacket: Indy's jacket, craft with leather in a chestplate recipe with a brown dye(cocoa beans) in the open space.
Pants: Leather in a leggings recipe, with bonemeal and brown dye in the remaining spaces.
boots: Craft with leather in the usual boots pattern, with brown dye in between the top two leather.
Staff of Ra: Found in desert temples, as rare as diamonds. Used by placing it in a Tanis Map Room to find the Ark of the Covenant in a Well of Souls.
Holy Grail: A cup that when drank from, gives the user Regen 3 for 5:00. You must keep refilling the cup and then drinking to maintain the regen effect. A seemingly identical cup with a slightly different name (i.e. has a barely-visible extra symbol in the name) can also spawn, and causes the Wither 3 effect when drunk from. Can be filled like a water bottle at a water source.
Ark of the Covenant: A gold covered chest containing the 10 commandments, an infinite bread item, and the Staff of Moses. However, you'd have to wear a blindfold to be able to access the Ark, otherwise you'd be killed almost instantly by the spirits(you do know what happened to Rene Belloq and the Nazis in the movie, right?). Also, to go with the inscriptions, it must be mined with a tool in hand, or the aforementioned consequences will happen.
Crystal Skull: Rarely found in jungle temples, placed on a skeleton in the Temple of Akator to spawn the Interdimensional Being.
Trap pedestal: Found in the Chachapoyan Temple (a much larger and more elaborate version of the vanilla jungle temple). Hooked to a redstone repeater which, when a heavy enough weight is placed on the pedestal (in the mod it'll just detect whether or not it is the idol, and output a redstone signal accordingly), sets off a redstone signal to release a large boulder to roll down and squash the unfortunate thief.
Golden Idol: Found on top of the pedestal. When removed and the pedestal either has a different block on top or nothing at all, the trap is triggered.
Hovito: A hostile mob often seen at the temple where the idol is found. Shoots blowdarts which poison the target with poison 1 for 5 seconds. 20 health and 1/2.5/3 melee damage, and blow darts do 1/1.5/2 hearts. Drops blowgun, as well as poison and regular darts. Regular darts can be made into poison darts with 8 normal darts surrounding a lingering potion of poison.
Boulder: Dispensed from the temple trap once the pedestal triggers it, it rolls towards the intruder, crushing all mobs in its way. It is meant to block off the entrance, preventing escape.
Interdimensional Being: An alien-like mob that can give a random treasure to the player, along with 40 levels, or "all the knowledge in the world" (aka the same amount of levels as would drop from the ender dragon). This mob then despawns afterwards. Only spawned when the crystal skull is placed on the statue/skeleton at the Temple of Akator. Drops nothing, other than the rewards it gives (Think Dragon Block C's Shenron)
Spirit: Ethereal mob that spawns from the Ark of the Covenant, looks peaceful at first, but then becomes hostile and attacks the player. Virtually invincible, and will only attack if the player is not worthy (i.e. not wearing a full Indiana Jones armor set). Infinite health, and does 2.5/3/4.5 hearts of damage. Drops nothing.
Snakes: Found in the Well of Souls, where the Ark is located. Will attack on sight like any hostile mob. Does 1/2.5/3 hearts of damage per hit and has 10 health. Drops snake fang, which can be used like spider eyes in potions of poison.
Russian soldier: Hostile, will fire bullets rapidly at you. Does 1/2/2.5 hearts of damage and 20 health. Holds an AK-47, which it drops on death.
Chachapoyan Temple: Spawns rarely in Jungle biomes, about as rare as a Jungle Temple. Contains a row of arrow-firing dispensers linked to pressure plates, collapsing sand walls, and a final trap only held back by the idol.
Well of Souls: Sandstone pit covered by a layer of sand and sandstone, filled with snakes and containing the ark of the covenant.
Map Room: An underground room that spawns in deserts as rarely as a desert well, sometimes closer to the surface. Contains a miniature model of the city and a place to put the Staff of Ra.
Temple of Akator: Found in Jungle biomes, it contains the 13 skeletons of the Interdimensional Being, with one headless. Return the Crystal Skull here to gain a valuable reward.
