Hello Mrbysco, here's my simple mod request. It would have to be for 1.7.10.
Basically, I need a mod that I could configure to make my character automatically talk in the Minecraft chat.
Something that would literally turn myself into a chat bot. ::lol:
Let me explain why, maybe you have a better idea.
I'm using 'EiraIRC', a discontinued mod for 1.7.10 that allow me to sync my Minecraft chat with an IRC server, in that case.. my Twitch chat.
It allows me to talk with my viewers and also read their chat.
Problem, it disconnect me every minute if inactive.
Found that using a command block with /say command would keep me connected since it emulate as a player but it only work for a few chunks in distance. If I had something, a mod, that would allow me to talk automatically in chat and be configurable for frequency and text display format.
It could be used to fix my problem but also to display text message on a RP server if the message can be triggered on events.
Let me give you a few examples of situations it could be used or integrated:
Low on food, my character say in chat "I feel hungry".
Low health, "I'm hurt"
Dark Area "I should probably place some torches"
And such..
-----------
----------
-------
Here's an another idea to fix my issue and also create a mod that could be used for other people.
If you could make a pet, maybe a fairy like in "Zelda" that follow Link and give him hints (configurable texts aka hits and configurable frequencies via config) in chat to the player, that could also work for me.
It would be useful for modpack maker and people that want to add a tutorial or "guide" to their mod.
The fairy (because they are small and ethereal) would have to display the text in chat as a player for it to work for me.
I'm not a modder so I really have no clue about the limit or what you can do but if it could replicate what a command block does when I use the '/say' command and also follow me, that would work perfectly.
An option to mute the fairy would also be wise.
You could also change the colors of the fairy with dyes and maybe upgrade or level them.
A fairy would collect XP when they player do.
After a few level up, you could enable features for fairy that would be helpful for the player.
Let me describe a few that come to mind.
Ability to absorb dropped items, time-control (Change Day/Night), Stop Rain, Teleport the Player to previously marked position, heal/feed the player and give various buffs. All those could be turned off and on by default. You would need to collect 50 levels worth of XP to unlock one of the above abilities. Every 50 levels, a new ability. You would open the GUI and choose a skill. Right click the fairy with dye, change his color.

He said he only makes mods for the recent versions
Here's a somewhat difficult mod idea, idk if you'll be able to do it. Can you try doing an unofficial port of Witchery for 1.12.2? It'll be difficult, but since Emoniph is AWOL and the other mods (Bewitchment and Covens Reborn) aren't exactly my cup of tea, I'd like to see if it can be revived. Lot of particle effects, basic recipes similar to how Thaumcraft does it, and mob spawning (summons, like demons).

That's good to hear. You up to the challenge of my suggestion? It might be difficult. Not to mention it'd only be unofficial.

Porting Witchery would be hard not only because there's no public source code but also because iirc it's All Rights Reserved.
Meaning if I were to deobf the code to get the source it'd pretty much go against the license.
I don't want to get into legal trouble.

I know the trident just came out, (be honest its not all it's cracked up to be) but I had an idea for a new weapon in minecraft. I think the game could use a weapon like a wand. The way it would work, is that you would craft the wand itself out of a diamond, obsidian, and firecharge (firecharge could be replaced with a ghast tear or nether star) After crafting, you get the wand which does a base damage equal to an iron sword. However, its attack speed should be a little slower. From there players should be able to put the wand in the crafting table along with any potion. This would give the wand the powers of that potion and deal anything it hits a diluted effect of the potion, kind of like a tipped arrow. (of course with times of effect ranging from like 5 to 10 seconds) The wand should also have a special enchantment which upgrades the strength and maybe time of the potion effect when it hits mobs.
I don't know if this is possible and I am not sure how it would effect PvP, but it seems like a weapon that could be fun, useful, and not OP. While I don't know how hard this would be to mod, I think it would liven up the weapon selection quite a bit and maybe even make witches more dangerous if they weild it instead of lame potions.
Idk if you're still taking ideas but I have a few in mind. Vine armor that when worn collects experience orbs to enhance its level. With different levels it can unlock abilities (based on enchantments) and the defense increases with each level .
Level 5 : mending (without xp) its a plant it grows and refills durability.
Level 7, 8,9,10:tools .with the armor on you can punch through any block and the correct tool, vine form, will be used so you don't have to switch between weapons and tools
Levels between 11 and 49 :sharpness, thorns, etc
Level 50 :petal wings (a giant blossoming flower blooms when you activate it liken the elytra)
Level 55:durability is consumed instead of hearts and if armor breaks it will drop a broken piece that if worn will mend itself but you have none of the upgrades or protection until its fully healed
How about making some novelty fireworks? I'm talking firecrackers, roman candles, sparklers, maybe even some snap-its and party poppers. It'd at least give me a reason to use up my unused gunpowder.
This would be for 1.7.10 How about adding fishing rods to tinkers construct with modifiers that allow catching of fish from mods like Pam’s harvestcraft aquaculture And mariculture also shears And modifiers that lets you shear ore sheep and maybe armor if possible
Saw your thread after I posted one earlier this evening, here's my idea -
Old Ghast AI (for MC 1.13)
Is this doable? I had hoped since it's just one thing, a charitable soul might be able to help.
I really miss pre-1.8 ghasts. Before 1.8 they could detect you in any
direction, even above and below them. It meant you had to act fast and
discover where the ghast was. Now they can only detect players at eye
level. While more realistic, this change made their massive attack range
far less impressive/unique, and definitely made the Nether feel less
dangerous.

I didn't see that in the first post.

Could you make a mod for 1.7.10 which adds a special ice block that turns water next to it also into ice?
How about a mod that substitudes Enemy mobs with more realistic ones (like Zombies -> Robbers or Skeletons -> Robber Bowman)
just to get Minecraft more realistic
