Over the years a mod that constantly gets pushed to the top and well-known on many servers is the Factions game mode.
I think it's a good idea, but a legitimate faction in single player? Now that sounds ridiculous and unnecessary. We don't need to claim land in single player. That's honestly the dumbest idea I've ever heard.
The mod we really need is an improved factions economy mod. We need the ability to buy and sell items and we need the ability to set 2 spawn points.
How it would work:
2 spawns /setsp1 /sp1 /setsp2 /sp2
When you start a new world you start off with 20 dollars. 20 dollars cannot buy you a lot.
To see how much cash you have you would need to type /bal
to gain more cash you need to type /sell itemname
To see what you can buy you would type "/warp store" to teleport to the store. The store will ways spawn 50 blocks away from you. You might say someone will try to break the store and take advantage. They can try but these blocks will just keep reappearing and the item the player was trying to get, for example, wood planks would be removed from their inventory.
This shop will be handmade hopefully by me. Inside this shop, there will be a ton of organized rooms with items filled inside each and every room.
This shop will have almost every item this game has to offer. To buy an item just hit a sign. You also be able to buy monster spawners, but they will be expensive.
Each block in the store will need a repair function so nothing is breakable.
Some servers have special commands players can buy. The commands would need to cost a crazy amount of in-game cash. /hat (item becomes a helmet), /fly /heal /feed and /fix (armor/tools) /keep (inventory) /sp3 /sp4 /sp5 These will cost 50,000 - 1,000,000 dollars because some of this is just extremely op.
Loot crates are also a massive part of some factions. Keys should cost 500 and be a rare item. The key would be a Name Tag. You could win big or small this is a mystery box that gives random items with at a random quantity. You could win a stack of dirt, 2 bedrock, 42 barrier block, who knows. It's a mystery box. Win big or go home.
A true factions concept is restricting the creation of some items. I play on a server that doesn't allow you to make hoppers. Hoppers cost 450 because that is the only way you can get them.
I've seen some economy mods with a tax function so it will need to remove 0-100 dollars from the players' account every in-game day depending on how much cash this player has on hand. This mod will also need a death tax. The death tax could be similar to the GTA series death tax, but there will need to be a death cap at 5,000. If you have 5,000 on hand this can't take 5,000 from your account. This needs to be averaged fairly.
I need a partner to make this happen. I don't know how to program but I am a creative builder when it comes Minecraft. Maybe our skills can be combined to make this happen. We will need a way to contact each other. I prefer Discord, but Skype also works.
