I know people have made things like this before, and I've looked at them, they do not have everything that I want. That is why I am here.
Combat should work in a different way than it does now, with leveling and such. If two people are level one and they fight, a rng would add their two numbers together and randomly choose one. Whoever got picked wins that tussle. If someone is level one and the other person is level 25 it would put those two numbers together and give choose a number between those. You get the idea by now.
It would be great if we could use more than just our swords randomly swinging, you know? It's just a tiny bit weird. So, we could add useful punches, kicks, blocking, dashing, disarming techniques, weapon throwing, and arrow deflecting. (I do not mean the thing we have with vanilla shields. I mean deflecting arrows, like you can do with fireballs, but a bit less accurate. And you do not need to swing at the arrow to make it, there would be a deflect ability). For the kicking, a stun kick, that doesn't allow players to do anything for a second, a hard kick, which send the play back a block or two and a disarming kick, which can disarm, but also has a chance to stun. For the punching, a punch that temporarily makes the armor broken, for the higher level players who would take a lot longer to beat, a dirty punch, which can blind for a few seconds, but has less of a chance of working, and a punch that can knock the wind out of people, knocking them back, blinding them and stunning them (this one you could only learn at a higher level, when everyone can call everything fair). For the dashing, people could speed up for a few seconds and (if close enough) could use their momentum to slice someone's head off with a sword, but you can only dash in one direction at a time. If two people dash at each other, no matter the level, they will either both not die or die. No inbetween. Disarming and other sword skills like parrying and stabs would work well with this type of thing. Weapon throwing would work somewhat like dashing, but without them both dying or neither of them dying. But it can go only in one direction and is affected by gravity, like physics dictates. Arrow deflecting is kind of a weird one. Say, someone shoots an arrow at you. You can dodge to the side, or you can block with your shield (1.9+, but I really only play modded on 1.7-1.8, so...). With arrow deflecting you can deflect the arrow either just to the ground or try the deflection back at someone. There would be ways to block all of the skills and strike opponents who decide to go all offense off-guard.
The default four classes could be knight, assassin, ranger, and rogue.
Knight: Easiest to level defense up with, harder to level speed, mostly relies on defensive maneuvers, as going on the offensive quickly drains stamina.
Assassin: Glass cannon, easiest to level speed and speed attack with, but harder to level defense. Relies on quick attack and knocking opponents off guard.
Ranger: easiest to level archery with, harder to level up attack and defense, heavily relies on bow for damage, but can do smaller amounts with physical attacks.
Rogue: Balanced, good at all skills except archery, but can still learn it.
i mentioned a lot of them up above, but here Is another one:
