since 1.7.10 is still the best forge release well it's the one I'm most into right now. but if you want another release tell me. I have asperger's syndrome so yeah just letting you know before hand. I know how to program in Java, I know quite a lot about Forge. I don't have ideas. Whatever idea you have it is good. My idea is a mod that unifies several mods into one. because servers lag with too much mods. and we would make a mod for low server requirements. this is it. reply if you want. bye
If you're still interested I have ideas but no coding skill haha. I'd be more than happy to supply ideas and art assets for you if you'd like to work as a team on a mod or few. let me know

Hi! I totally understand where you're coming from as a modder with mental issues! I have a lot myself. But I already have an idea for a mod for 1.10.2 if you're interested! I'm mainly doing it for that Minecraft version cause all the big modpacks are out for that version. My idea that I need help with is an inventory and crafting system that lets you play the game such as fighting monsters while your inventory is open and you're using it. I also want to make the inventory very easy to use and make it more appealing to look at instead of that boring old whitish grayish inventory gui texture. Please, message me on here if you would like! I'd love to code this mod with you c:

My idea is to make a tech mod that would work like a modpack. I would like to incorporate and improve on most of the features of famous mods like AE2, BC, Big Reactors, Ender IO, Extra Utilities, Forestry MinefactoryReloaded and others. I would like to make my mod compatible with all of those, but I would like to replace most if not all of their features in my mod. I don't think modpacks with 100+ mods are efficient. I want to make The One Mod To Rule Them All, And In Darkness Bind Them.
After a beta version is released, we'd go into a Let's Play Tour of the mod, showing all the stuff it can do on it's own, and then we'd listen rto public suggestions on how to improve it.
The philosophy behind this mod is to require as low server power as possible, making small servers able to run a mod that's equivalent to a huge modpack.

I would be interested in helping. I am also an asperger's 1.7.10 modder, but probably know less than you. I enjoy MFR and forestry and am making a server that could benefit from a one mod thing.
1: This boils down to personal preference, but sticking to 1.7.10 is only going to hurt you in the long-term. Once everyone passes to a higher version, you're gonna have trouble updating 7 versions at once.
2: Before starting to discuss "I want to make this awesome tech mod", show proof that you guys can at least make something more than a new cheese block. Nothing sucks more than having all the ambition and ideas and then not even knowing how to make ores generate.

1.7.10 lags less. 1.10 servers are full of bugs and unimplemented features. we aim at 1.7.10 because its the best version so far. once they make a better one we will just skip the ones we dont like and update only to the good new version once it exists.
the point is not to make a new awesome mod but use concepts that are already common place in all tech mods, like energy, transport, auto mining, auto building, etc. Any mod that's too complex and fulfills only its own purpose (applied energistics 2 for example) we will just make it compatible with ours. the idea is to minimize redundancy and inter-mod communication making a compact yet complete mod instead of a 100+ modpack where each mod adds a couple new features which are better than the last mod and all the rest is redundant.

Also 1.7.10 is the easiest so far to program, you do not need to worry about rendering and crap, and also I know how to generate ores @migueeel. Youtube helps a lot. That's also what this area of the forum is for. You got famous modders like @electroblob_ who helped me out for instance. Why do people like you migueeel have to come in and spread negativity? People have a purpose for action.

Yes I have discord.
lets meet on discord?
My first suggestion is to take buildcraft, minefactory reloaded and logistics pipes and unify them in a way they are light on the server.
That all sounds great. What is your discord?
