I think minecraft would be perfect if it had that extra aesthetic feel to it. I believe potter would be perfect because it adds aesthetics, functional uses, and does not stroll too far away from vanilla.
The mod could have:
Jars
Cups/Mugs
Vases That Contain Some Loot
Flower Pots
Water, Milk, and Lava Buckets (Made of Clay)
Kilns
Bowls
Pottery Wheel
Also, to give minecraft more of an ancient feel, the pottery could be naturally occuring in caves with loot inside, along with cave drawing blocks.
I unfortunatel have no coding experience, so it would be totally awesom if someone could make this happen!
There is/was a mod that added clay flower pots, and other mods that add parts of what you want. I would love if there was one mod that did all of the above though. I'd be up for learning to texture for something like this if nobody else wanted to. I need to learn how anyway.
I've heard it was called modular flower pots and I've played it before and there was also one called garden stuff mod which is currently updating to 1.10 but that mod is garden based mostly. I want mine to be pottery based. You could be a texturer we just need a modeler and a coder..
I made some models quite a long time ago with techne but I don't know if they are able to be coded because at the time there was a bug in techne that made it a lot harder but again that was some time ago. They might need new textures but that was just practice so if anyone can texture the models better, that'd be awesome to try it.
Here's the link to one of them but I have the others if you look at the rest of my profile.
This is a great idea for a mod, and I think I'll be able to add just about everything requested into the game!
Would you like the mod to be created in 1.11.2, or in 1.10, like the tag says on this topic?
Also, the models you made aren't going to be of much use, since now, model files are coded in JSON. Techne only creates models in Java. (Also, I'm on mac, and Techne is a windows-only program, therefore I won't be able to access anything you create). If you would still like to make models, use this. This model creator exports only in JSON, making it compatible with 1.8+ mods.
Another quick note:
Im absolutely HORRID with textures, so if anyone would like to make textures for this, feel free to do so (this is directed at you, Erratictransparency!)

Can't wait to begin working on it!

Awesome! I'd love for you to make this mod! I'd like a port to 1.10.2 first because that is the version that I play and possibly 1.11.2 after for those who'd like to enjoy this mod for that version of MC.
No worries! In the model creator, under file, there should be a button that says "Export to JSON". Click that, export it to either your desktop or whereever you would like to have the file located.
Next, shoot me an email (I PMed it to you) with the JSON file attached.

By the way, here's what I've got going so far:
Sorry if this is a noobish question because I am very new to this, but how do I send you the .JSON files?
