So I'd like to have more futuristic world-gen. Could you do this mod for me?
My first question is: how will you get seeds and dyes? Will bone meal still work to generate them?

how will you get seeds
In my modpack I get seeds from farming dirt.
and dyes?
I can configure drops from mobs and blocks via plugins.
Will bone meal still work to generate them?
No, but it should work with plants (modded as well)!
I'll be so glad to have my perfect space-like lands.
Stopping bonemeal growth would be easy (with an event handler) and I think there is a customization for generating grass when you set up a world

Yeah got it, there's a list of decorated features in DecorateBiomeEvent that can be turned off:
BIG_SHROOM, CACTUS, CLAY, DEAD_BUSH, LILYPAD, FLOWERS, GRASS, LAKE, PUMPKIN, REED, SAND, SAND_PASS2, SHROOM, TREE, CUSTOM
Somewhere in setting up a new world MinecraftForge assigns these. I'd have to look into it more to find how you get to it, but it's possible.

Bonemeal currently works on the following blocks:
BlockCocoa BlockCrops BlockDoublePlant BlockGrass (this is the one you want disabled) BlockMushroom BlockSapling BlockStem BlockTallGrass
